HALLOWEEN, What USUALLY Do People Do?

Many Americans celebrate Halloween on October 31. Celebrations include costume parties and trick-or-treating.

Halloween is usually celebrated amongst family, friends and, sometimes, co-workers. However, some areas hold large community events. Parties and other events may be planned on October 31 or in the weekends before and after this date. Adults may celebrate by watching horror films, holding costume parties or creating haunted houses or graveyards.

Many children dress up in fancy costumes and visit other homes in the neighborhood. At each house, they demand sweets, snacks or a small gift. If they do not get this, they threaten to do some harm to the inhabitants of the house. This is known as playing 'trick-or-treat' and is supposed to happen in a friendly spirit, with no nasty or mean tricks being carried out. However, if your children take part, it is important to accompany them and to check their 'treats' to make sure they are safe to eat or play with.

WHAT CAN AND SOMETIMES DOES HAPPEN.

Halloween is nothing more than a Satanic Pagan festival.

Halloween Horror night. These kids are not having fun.

I do not support decorating my home for Halloween nor do I give out candy. I am ok with decorating a home with fall or autumn decorations.

Blessings

October 31st,one more Glorious Day in the Lord,I live in Florida so Autumn decorations seem silly to me,here but they are very pretty (like MsMuffets photo).....we never see a fall season, everyday is like spring or  summer.,no autumn leaves ...although I'm "freezing" today at 64 degrees, lol    Personally,I wouldn't even know the date if I didn't look at the computer today,"This is the Day the Lord has made,I will rejoice & be glad in it"-EVERYDAY!  So ,if any kids come by ,which doesn't happen, they would not get any candy because I don't have any but if I did they could get it any time of any day.......I suppose some pennies would do,how could I refuse a little kid holding out their pumpkin?               With love in Christ,Kwik

I have already written enough about this on here. Best thing to do. IGNORE IT.

But be advised than somewhere, someplace near you, somebody is probably being sacrificed on this night.
The pagans are extremely ritualistic and pedantic about dates. So THEY will be active!

Get some tracts to hand out maybe, but do not join them in this festival of blood-letting.
Pray for any children that come to your door.
Do not hand out any kind of treat and mention the Saving Grace of the Lord Yeshua.

Do not hold your own 'churchy' type of similitude either. Just resist Satan and pray protection for God's children.

My wife and I went to a movie during trick or treats.

Had a good time.

We handed out candy this year, but as the kids come to the door, I asked them if they were really going to trick me if I didn't give them some candy....    every one of them, even the really little ones looked kind of bashful and told me no they wouldn't...    I gave away some good sized snickers this year so I didn't go cheap.

Two of the 4 or 5 year olds I ask, what if I don't have any candy?    both of them reached into their bags and handed me a hand full....    they got two snickers.

Kids are very good natured in the area we live in and they are being raised very well.   Even the teenagers that came by would look kind of funny at me and say "of course not".

Made me feel better about the whole thing.

Not sure why Halloween is a subject for a Christian board. Most of us do Fall festivities at church and pass out candy.  No ghosts, goblins, witches or devils involved.  If you're a saved Christian you don't dabble in the occult.

Do you mean it is okay to dabble with demons now that it is over ?  I don't like that idea at all  !
