Anyways.  Thanks to Henry Morris, I did find an old earth, not a young one.

No, he didn't.

Quote

The best example is Adam and The Garden.    I found no way to find "Day Zero"
Even Adam was never Scientifically age zero.
With no age zero, then you can't define "young".

You don't need an age "zero."  That is nonsense.

The age of the earth is calculated from day one.

I am not sure how either of those terms translates into  millions or billions of years old.  And is that how the biblical writers would have defined "ancient" or "everlasting?"

Terms like that are used poetic or prophetic passages and is simply a manner of speaking, the Bible uses poetic imagery about the earth and the heavens without establishing any kind of cosmology.

Henry M Morris taught me no use the plainest of language...not fancy thinking adjusted for the times.

I have a few of his books if you need a quote.

But Adam and the Garden and the stars were already aged by the end of the first few days.

Trees producing fruit, Adam talking and walking, rocks were rock hard.  Scientifically
creation was already ancient from week one.  You can't scientifically ask for the earth
to be young, and then have an ancient planet provided by the end of the first week.

Scientifically, you can't have it both ways. Spiritually you can do what you wish.
But insisting on "young" is not scripturally scientific.

Use plain and simple reading skills.

Deuteronomy 33:15

With the finest produce of the ancient mountains and the abundance of the everlasting hills,

You count age by time, not appearance; anyone who studies science should know that.

Most people are not present from beginning to end, so they use appearance to estimate time.

Except for Benjamin Buttons, we appear older as we age, and we estimate age based on looks.

Now, there was a case where Jesus created wine, and a "science expert" or wine expert

said it was the "best wine".   We assume he thought it was properly aged in his evaluation.

This demonstrates that God can create aged things.   So God, likely, created an aged earth.

And as the story illustrates, science is none the wiser.  So scientifically, the earth is old.

Spiritually, man is only as old as Adam.

Again, how does that translate into millions or billions of years.  It appears that you have nothing but assumption and speculation.   We use the word "ancient" for things only 2,000 years old.   So the onus is on you to prove that when the biblical writers used those terms regarding the earth, that they were establishing some kind of cosmology of millions or billions of years.

God created the earth functionally mature.  Everything was ready to go and to reproduce from the moment they were created, unless you  don't trust the Bible.

Yes, "reading skills"...as in the mountains were already more than 2000 years old when Deuteronomy was written?

*roll eyes*

And how old (scientifically) were the mountains at the end of creation week?

Soft and spongy...or rock hard?

Sorry, but that dog won't hunt. I guess you never heard of birthdates?  You know, those pesky things they put on licenses and ID's? They're the things that keep underage people from buying tobacco, alcohol and such until a certain age? That's why they card people because looks can be deceiving...

My dad's birthdate was unknown. So they guessed it.
