Too bad no one has educated all of the people in europe, who have daily wine (Mediterranean diet) and typically outlive those of us in the U.S. I also tend to think, that the Bible erred when it suggested spending tithe money on wine or strong drink, to bad the did not know about the cancer thing. That of course was sarcasm. I would not be surprised, if excess alcohol is connected with many maladies, even cancer, but I doubt somewhat, that moderate consumption is so much. I would want to know about other variables of diet and lifestyle, before jumping to conclusions. However, I admit, that I did not read the article. So much for scientific methodology. Y'll let me know when the wine and spirits debate is done, so we can all toast it's death,  ya hear? Thanks. As for me I found my responsibilities grew as I progressed through life  eventually making me turn from being a frequently high  flier to a walk'n stone sober individual. But;  for many  it may  not the case, and whether they buy by the case or simply take a shot is  of little concern to me, except that they might  drive under the infuence of alcohol, or worse pilot an aircraft, or even worse make a decision to go to war with a nation, or worse....  Gee maybe  being stone sober is a good thing regardless of the long term health benefits or ills.
