1 Tim 2:12

"I do not permit a woman to teach or to assume authority over a man"

Pretty straight forward.   Not all that ambiguous.

That does not mean that a woman cannot preach or teach, but only that they are not to be in positions of authority over men.  No pastors, bishops, elders, and so on.

Why will anyone seed discord amongst the brethren and the sistern? ???

If any man  or wo-man chooses to  have a wo-man as their pastor, though I think it unbiblical, and that man or wo-man  benefits from that pastoring,  then praise God. For even what one may intend to be for evil God uses for good for those that believe on Jesus as Lord God and personal Savior.

I dont think God is sexist, times have changed God is the same, we can work in a woman the same way he can work in a man. Naturally men do the job with more ease and less emotion.

No it is not biblical. God has ordained only men to serve in positions of authority in the Church.

Looks like this question has been thoroughly answered.  2 Timothy 3 is pretty clear on the subject.

Ah but what of Paul’s other statement:

There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” (Galatians 3:28)

1 Timothy 2:12 originally had do not let the pythonesses speak. In Epheseus the women controlled society as oracles and pythonesses. They became part of the church to keep their authority and so Paul is here stripping them of authority.  Hence why he doesn’t say this to other churches but even commend women leaders:

I commend unto you Phebe our sister, which is a servant (diakonos, minister)  of the church which is at Cenchrea” (Romans 16:1)

“Please give my greetings to our brothers and sisters at Laodicea, and to Nympha and the church that meets in her house.” (Colossians 4:15)

“also to Apphia our sister and Archippus our fellow soldier--and to the church that meets in your home.” (Philmon 1:2). It is well known the leader and teach is mentioned first.

Women may be elected to deaconess, as one is recorded in Scripture.  Otherwise we may teach younger children, and younger women in matters of family and homemaking.  We are at all times to be subject to our own husbands.
