Isaiah 14 did not ever happen before.  This is a prophecy of what it will be like during the millennium when Christ takes rule.

Isaiah 14:1   For the LORD will have mercy on Jacob, and will yet choose Israel, and set them in their own land: and the strangers shall be joined with them, and they shall cleave to the house of Jacob.

Israel are scattered now throughout all the nations.  They are not all dwelling in their own land, but Christ will order them to be brought in to Holy Jerusalem DURING THE MILLENNIUM.

Isaiah 14:2   And the people shall take them, and bring them to their place: and the house of Israel shall possess them in the land of the LORD for servants and handmaids: and they shall take them captives, whose captives they were; and they shall rule over their oppressors.

The remnants of the gentiles not in the first resurrection, will be serving Israel in the kingdom of Jerusalem.  All these gentiles who were once Israel's oppressors, will be turned into their servants.  They will all be made clean.

Isaiah 14:3   And it shall come to pass in the day that the LORD shall give thee rest from thy sorrow, and from thy fear, and from the hard bondage wherein thou wast made to serve,

Israel served the KING OF BABYLON, in the past, ....and now that he is put away (for a 1000 yrs), Israel has rest.

Isaiah 14:4   That thou shalt take up this proverb against the king of Babylon, and say, How hath the oppressor ceased! the golden city ceased!

The oppressor, Satan is locked up, and Babylon is no more....that golden city with all the lights, hopes and dreams....built on vanity, greed, lies and oppression ...gone..

Revelation 20:2   And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,

Revelation 20:3   And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.

Isaiah 14:5   The LORD hath broken the staff of the wicked, and the sceptre of the rulers.

Christ is ruling now.

Isaiah 14:6   He who smote the people in wrath with a continual stroke, he that ruled the nations in anger, is persecuted, and none hindereth.

He = Satan, the King of Babylon ...the god of this world.  "He" is put away for the time being, ...punished, and no one comes to his aid.

Isaiah 14:7   The whole earth is at rest, and is quiet: they break forth into singing.

No more wars or oppression whilst "he" is locked up (The King of Babylon/Satan)

Isaiah 14:8   Yea, the fir trees rejoice at thee, and the cedars of Lebanon, saying, Since thou art laid down, no feller is come up against us.

The earth is at peace.

Isaiah 14:9   Hell from beneath is moved for thee to meet thee at thy coming: it stirreth up the dead for thee, even all the chief ones of the earth; it hath raised up from their thrones all the kings of the nations.

Hell is waiting for him and his children, they are all stirring for their master will come soon.  They will be raised up to be judged....even all the kings of the nations with him who served him.

Isaiah 14:10   All they shall speak and say unto thee, Art thou also become weak as we? art thou become like unto us?

He is powerless now, just like them.

Isaiah 14:11   Thy pomp is brought down to the grave, and the noise of thy viols: the worm is spread under thee, and the worms cover thee.

Death is coming to you oh King of Babylon.  Your pride will be brought low.

Isaiah 14:12   How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

And there you have it, the King of Babylon is none other than Lucifer himself.  The one responsible for all the evil and oppression, and the cause of the nations falling along with mankind.

This is a prophecy.  The earth has never been at peace as he, this King of Babylon has brought on continual wars and disharmony throughout his land of Babylon (the world).  The millennium is a time of healing for the nations, and a time of rest from the oppressor when he is put away.

Perhaps you completely missed the point of the thread.I never said the earth is at peace. In fact I've shown there is no peace.

If you were to ask the cedars of Lebanon Who it is that cuts them now as in Isaiah 14,who would they say?

If you were to ask the philistines in Isaiah 14 Who thier oppresors are,who would they say?

If you were to ask the king of the Medes, who he will destroy as is written in scripture , who would he say?

All those know who but you don't seem to know who.Do you turn a blind eye to the oppressor of those people?Do you give him a free pass because you like The name he calls himself?

Even now,the Medes are preparing to take down the king of Babylon and you have no clue as to who it is.

When the people of the leader destroys the city and the sanctuary, the king of Babylon will be no more.

The leader of those people (The Medes)has been calling for the destruction of the king of Babylon .It's no secret.

Thus sayeth the Lord,Israel is my son even my first born.

Is it that you don't understand the word of the Lord or you simply don't believe him?

Israel is the son,of God.

There are several applications to the term "son of God", and as always, context.

Hi Shilohsfoal

If I had to ask the cedars of Lebanon now who cuts them down?

Firstly I would have to understand exactly who the cedars of Lebanon are.  God is not talking about the actual trees in Lebanon, but using it as a metaphor for "the high ones".  The elites, the rich and wealthy, ....those who have power and full of pride,...those at the top whose sins have reached heaven.  For this we would have to go to other scriptures to prove my point;

Psalms 29:5   The voice of the LORD breaketh the cedars; yea, the LORD breaketh the cedars of Lebanon.

Isaiah 2:10   Enter into the rock, and hide thee in the dust, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty.

Isaiah 2:11   The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day.

Isaiah 2:12   For the day of the LORD of hosts shall be upon every one that is proud and lofty, and upon every one that is lifted up; and he shall be brought low:

Isaiah 2:13   And upon all the cedars of Lebanon, that are high and lifted up, and upon all the oaks of Bashan,

Isaiah 2:14   And upon all the high mountains, and upon all the hills that are lifted up,

Isaiah 2:15   And upon every high tower, and upon every fenced wall,

Isaiah 2:16   And upon all the ships of Tarshish, and upon all pleasant pictures.

Isaiah 2:17   And the loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the haughtiness of men shall be made low: and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day.

Isaiah 14:29   Rejoice not thou, whole Palestina, because the rod of him that smote thee is broken: for out of the serpent's root shall come forth a cockatrice, and his fruit shall be a fiery flying serpent.

Of course they would say it's Israel, but only because they have no knowledge that Satan is in charge of his whole kingdom (Babylon).  They do not know that "all" the nations are serving the King of Babylon including themselves.  If they did have knowledge of the Almighty, they would not war, and kill, and seek revenge, but would obey God's commandments to be peaceful, to love thy neighbour, to pray and show good fruits, to be an example of holiness and meekness, to give and care for the widow and the orphans, ...the poor and the homeless.  They would know Jesus, and they would all be fed with the food that gives life.

But that is not happening, and Israel are not doing that either, ....all are serving the King of Babylon, every single nation.  All who are under the Oppressor (Satan) become oppressors themselves.  That whole land of oppression is spiritually called "Egypt" for your information.  The whole world is entangled in it.  Spiritual Egypt resides in Babylon.

He would say Israel first, then every other nation or people who don't belong to Islam.  Again, because of no knowledge.  No idea that God has invited them also to walk in his ways, and that all will be done according to God's Word, and not man's.

What name does he call himself?  The names he is given is given by God only for us to know his character.

If you truly knew who the real King of Babylon is, you would not ask this question.  The King of Babylon is Satan and this whole world is his kingdom, full of chaos.  The Mede's could never take the king of Babylon, because there is only one person who has the power to do that, and that is Christ who holds the keys to death and hell and who is the judge of all mankind.

Christ is warning us all to come out of that kingdom of Babylon.  He is calling you, and I, and every single person on this planet to be separate and not share in Babylon's sins, for that whole kingdom is going to be punished.

Revelation 18:4   And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
