So, if you are truly are a Christian you will forgive us if we ask if you are a Christian because this is basic doctrine about God. So, I believe what you are really asking is, "if God is so big (expansive) how could he become a man who is small in stature?" But the very nature of God is that because He is God and He is all powerful nothing is impossible for Him. Therefore, He took the form of man and became a man for us so that in his human form He could die for the penalty of our sin (because He is sinless) in order to save us. God is the word, so He expanded into a book too. Many copies on the face of earth. Jesus is God expanded into a man  but He also said He is the bread which comes down from heaven. God->word->Jesus->bread God is a spirit, I believe He can be anything He wants And even more, Jesus said the kingdom of God is within. Is that a whole land expanded inside us? I believe there is God's mountain, and Jerusalem too. So I think I can see what you are asking. I believe these mysteries are only revealed by God to some people. As I grow in my faith, and trusting He says right, He gradually reveal more things to me. Jesus tell me, Seek and you shall find.
