I hadn't heard that.  Wise words.  The first thing I memorized was Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray Thee Lord my soul to keep.   Along the way I got a little tiny booklet "The Bible When You Want It" published by the YMCA, and flipped through and read many verses so often that I memorized those, and benefited for decades.  Then I heard that US military men were memorizing Psalm 91, and that was very hard but what a treasure it is to know.   Romans 8:35-39 is a wonderful one to know.
