(Worthy News) - The percentage of born again Christians in America continues declining, a major religious survey has found. And only a minority of the faithful believe they have a strong personal responsibility to share the Gospel.

"Christianity in America is going through a time of substantial challenge. The Church at-large is not likely to grow in the future unless some fundamental changes in practice are made," said researcher George Barna, speaking about the American Culture & Faith Institute survey results released Tuesday.

"Fewer churches emphasize and equip people for evangelism these days, and the results are obvious and undeniable. The implications of ignoring gospel outreach — especially among children, who are the most receptive audience to the gospel — are enormous. All the 'church growth' strategies in the world cannot compensate for the absence of an authentic transmission of the good news of what Jesus Christ has done for humanity." Sadly par for the course for the false Progressive, Emergent, Ecumenical and man's Psychology in a church system that has little or nothing to do with the glorious Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
A watered down Gospel is no Gospel at all.

May all that are Born Again each in our various parts in the Body of Christ reach out to the lost, and please do not compromise on the Truth of the Gospel if speaking on it or asked!
Eternal souls are at stake, please reach out! :)

A few of my experiences in doing so over the years:

Rejection: That's good! You've planted a seed, pray for them at the end of the day and ask the Father to draw them!

Curious, Seekers: You've given them something more to think upon, hopefully one day they will repent and believe on Jesus Christ!

Religious: In showing them the utter futility of their "good works" gets them thinking on the free yet priceless gift of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
I noted after reading the entire article of the original post, that it also has an "Evangelical and Catholics Together" feel. I reach out to Roman Catholics quite a bit, as they represent "another gospel, and another christ" one that is based on mans liturgy, and not consistent at all with the Bible.

Pharisees, Hypocrites, False Converts: These guys will utterly hate your guts! And occasionally be ready to duck! Reach out to them anyway, and pray for these lost souls! There will be ZERO hypocrites in heaven!

The Lost that knows he needs Salvation: What a rare opportunity we have for the Lord on occasion! A man or woman that wants to repent, and believe on Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of their sins! Hallelujah!!!! :)

Many times with the above, I'll follow up with a Bible, Christian pamphlet, or a Christian tract encouraging folks to read them.
I'll always look to make sure the content is Biblical, and pray the Lord will continue to use these items to His glory as well!

Mar 1:14-15  Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God,  (15)  And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.
