What day would you call the day that Jesus's feet touch earth again  ?

I am going with Quasar's interpretation. The last 3 1/2 years of the tribulation. That is what I am seeing.

There is a day coming that will be the first day the Lord Jesus's feet have touched earth since He ascended ,  yes ? no ?

You either believe the scriptures speak to this specific  day ,  or  that it was never mentioned .

I believe that the rapture of the Church comes before the seven year tribulation.Jesus will not set his foot on earth at this event. Then God's wrath and judgment on our earth which is the seven year tribulation. Then Jesus Christ comes down to our earth. Two very different events.

Right , so the day the Jesus Christ returns and  " comes down to earth "  would be the day of the Lord  .

I don't know what else you would call that day , a day after which the world will never be the same , but the day of the Lord .

No, that is not the case. The Day of the Lord is the last 3 1/2 years of the seven year tribulation. You are referring to the second Coming of Christ. I am not.

But the Lord will not even be here for the tribulation ?

Why would you call a time when He will not even be here ,  " the Day of the Lord "  ?

Sounds backwards .

Your understanding of the Lord's omnipresence is incomplete

He is here all of the time and will act when He is ready

You are looking at this in a earthly perspective. The Lord does not have to literally be on earth for it to be called The day of the Lord.
