I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing. My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit, and soprove to be My disciples.

John 15:5,8 NASB

would Jesus not abide in us? yes if we harbour sin

If we ask Him in he will abide in us.

We must:

Keep His commandments

Love God with all our heart

Have faith and trust in Him

Jesus comes in and does a redo. We may break fellowship through obstinate unconfessed sin but He has promised to never leave or forsake us. He continues the sanctifying process even if he has to take us home early.

No in the end many will understand too little too late ,.   It was not JESUS that left or forsook them.  NO THEY DID.  they chose the flesh .

Tis why its so dire as the real church knew.  PULL EM OUT save a SOUL from death.

OK, look at verse 5, then give me Scriptural support for why you think He wouldn't...

1Co 5:1-6
(1)  It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one should have his father's wife.
(2)  And ye are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he that hath done this deed might be taken away from among you.
(3)  For I verily, as absent in body, but present in spirit, have judged already, as though I were present, concerning him that hath so done this deed,
(4)  In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ,
(5)  To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.
(6)  Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump?

Believe you me.   if one does get delivered unto destruction of the flesh.    That will humble one .   That too is all part of correction.

That is for those who are already abiding in death...not those born again who have LIFE in them.

IS it possible to have been a partaker of the HOLY GHOST and tasted of the world to come and then fall away.

According to both peter , and paul,  IT WAS.

IF a man CONTINUES NOT IN ME,  CONTINUES not in me,  he is cast out.

Paul knew that too.   HE knew he had to keep his body under subjection or even after all that gospel preaching he too be cast out.

I do not know why this causes fear in so many.   ITS not like JESUS wants us to fall away.  HE DONT .  HE DONT .  but we can.   and that is a biblical fact.

TIS why we must encourage and EXHORT one another DAILY, lest ye become HARDENED through the decieftfulness of sin.

I don't know why this scares so many.    They think to say one can fall away is blasphemous or something .

Some DO COME and in time of TEMPTTATON they DO fall away.  AS JESUS said they do .

HERES a true saying.  ONCE saved ALWAYS saved so long as you continue in the one who DOES SAVE.

FOR I walk don't END the day we COME , IT BEGINS and WHO we follow IS WHERE WE END UP.

NOW obey grace, obey HIS SPIRIT for it is he in us who is working is us that which is well pleasing IN HIS SIGHT.  a hint SIN AINT

so don't follow the flesh , FOLLOW the SPIRIT .  For truly we are the servants of whom we obey.

You might want to read the start of John 15.below   Note the branches are IN ME (Jesus, the true vine) The chapter is about fruit bearing, not salvation. I understand it to say  that bearing fruit glorifies the Father. A branch laying on the ground cannot bear fruit. It abides in the vine. (believers) The Father is the vine tender. If a branch is sucking up nutrients from the vine, and not producing fruit, it is removed by the VINE TENDER, God the Father. The branches that do produce  fruit, He purges (prunes) cutting away (discipline-chastisement) unnecessary growth, so less branch (me) and more fruit.
There is not one true believer (in Christ) who can harbor sin without God's chastisement. (Pruning)

Joh 15:1  I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.
Joh 15:2  Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
