That's not the point.  It really was unnecessary.  We all know what tarot cards are.  We didn't lead a lesson or show and tell from you, believe it or not.

You might know what they look like, have you played with them, handled them? I DID NO KNOW WHAT THEY LOOKED LIKE, I HAVE NEVER SEEN THEM BEFORE because I ignore such filth? I had heard about them but never had anything to do with them or ever was interested in any such thing. I simply googled them to see what the fuss was all about. Now I know. I'm sure there are many on here who did not or do not know what they are about.

I apologised to missmuffet if she was offended. I am a seventy + year old man who has seen more death, horror, evil and suffering than most people. God has saved my life many times when others around me were killed, and that was before I was converted. I don't need a lesson from you or anyone else on what I can say, do or post on here. If what I posted is unnecessary or offended anyone then the moderators will delete it. To make you happy, I will delete the pictures on my post, then you can have a shot at missmuffet for quoting them in her post.

In the 15 years I have been on here, I have met more wingy, whiny, holier than thou cry babies, than I have met anywhere else in the entire world?

"That is like someone coming to Worthy and posting a thread about pornography and then posting a picture of a naked woman."

To even suggest that I, a Christian would post porn pictures on a Christian board, or that the cards pictures are as bad as pornograhy is ridiculous. Discussing tarot cars has nothing to do with porn what so ever.

I am trying to figure out why in the heck you would post this. :39:

FYI

What does the word heck mean?

Heck is what's called a "minced oath", where you avoid actually swearing by saying a word that sounds similar to them. Other examples of this are darn, cripes, jeepers.
Heck itself is usually a replacement for "hell" by either those wishing not to swear or not to use the true word in case it offends, hurts or scares those around them.

Well, most don't realize that .    plus look at the word paul USED to describe all other things that exalted him , but now its loss

and he counts it all but DUNG.    any guesses what THAT WORD means    .      Tarot cards AS YOU KNOW ,  are dung .   but yeah I hear what you are saying.

I used to say friggin.    but I have tried to stop it all together.  not because I see it as so bad,  but if others do, why not just not say it .  its just a word anyway .

I understand your intention Haz, but imo it is not appropriate to put pics of them here. This is the internet people can look up what they want , but we don't have to post it on a Christian Forum.  Divination cards have come with all sorts of names & themes. For eg  angel cards are just as bad as the original tarot, they just are made to look more harmless - but it is still divination.

II have deleted my original post and the pictures and apologised if I offended. I also said I did this as a warning to others as you have done posting this and the picture of the book, (Occult Invasion: The Subtle Seduction of the World and Church (Dave Hunt Classic).

Then I'm told its no worse than posting porn and pics of naked women? That's rubbish. I as you and others here would never do such a thing.

Most on here are grown up and can handle the truth, I notice you reposted them when you first quoted me. You could have asked the question without reposting the pictures.

Morning Glory gets it, we see evil every day, we see it, we reject it and that's what we do. Because the local newspaper shop has sex magazines openly advertised all over the shop doesn't stop me from going in there to buy the papers. I just go in, ignore all the rubbish and filth, buy the papers I read and walk out. End of story.

Hazard, I get what you say but think of other brothers or sisters that may be weak in their faith.  Maybe someone who just came out of the occult.  It might cause them to stumble.  Our eyes are the windows to our souls.  For the sake of new believers, those struggling with those kinds of sins, or any other kind of sins for that matter, we should all take to heart what we post here and be mindful not to cause someone to stumble.  :D

Like I just said. I delete my post and the pictures and apologised if I offended. I also said I did this as a warning to others. We don't walk around the world with our eyes closed, all we need do is reject the bad and accept the good. I spent my working life in the mines. I had to listen to the most foul language men could lay their tongues to, some even blaspheming Christ every second word. The meal rooms were plastered with the most filthy pictures of women, all which had to be ignored by me. Some regularly said, "What do you think of her Haz? while pinning up the latest playboy picture." I replied, I don't, I'm a happily married man, I don't need that to fulfil my life at all. Some men even commented to me that they have never heard me swear or use bad language. That to me carried more weight than me constantly asking or telling them not to use that language in front of me, as if I was holier than thou? Had I asked them this they would only have carried on much more than before. We don't all live a sheltered life on this earth, some of us cop a hammering every day. I prayed for them, asked God to have mercy on them, even saved some of them their lives. I did not hate them, I felt sorry for them. I repeatedly said, tarot cards are a bad thing, some here have said they have tarot cards?

It sounds like you were walking upright and trying to be salt and light and set an example by how you walked.  That is awesome.  You are strong in your faith and that is a good thing.  But remember, there are others here who might struggle or new believers reading and looking at all our posts so for their sake we must be diligent in not causing any to stumble.   And yes, there was someone who said they have "Christian tarot cards."

Just for the record those photos that were posted were not Destany Cards.   They were full Tarot Cards.        The Destany program uses cards that are basically the same as regular playing cards, but the system is knowing what each card stands for in relationship to your exact birth time...   it's a combination of fortune telling and astrology no better or worse than reading your daily horoscope.         Neither of which any Christian Church should be involved in.       Or individual Christian for that matter.   Ouija boards are much worse though.

I'd appreciate it if you could provide more information about this.  I tried doing some internet searches on this and found the main christalignment.org site, a list of events where the Hodges (my impression is that they are leaders in this) give seminars on sharing the gospel in nontraditional ways with counter culture groups, and a few articles highly critical of this.

I'm trying to figure out how much of this is a nontraditional way to try to talk to people (who would otherwise have nothing to do with anything Christian) using art work and nontraditional language, getting people to talk about themselves and their lives, and then offering to pray with them and give them spiritual counsel, and how much of this is potentially occult stuff that is just plain weird.

The people with Christalignment are certainly going into places and meeting and talking with people that most Christians have few dealings with.  Their description (from their site) on attending the 2017 Queer Expo was "Our team was able to give love, gain understanding and engage at a deeper level. As usual, we found that people the world over, long and hunger for the same things, have the same heart needs, the same life needs and still reach out to be touched by the Divine. Our lifestyle choices often do not cloud our searching for the very basic connection to a creator who loves, a creator who comes in a personal way, a creator who answers the intimate need of the human heart."

I'm not going to rush to judgement on this without knowing more.  Is this merely using a personality survey (based on artwork instead of written questions) to get people to start talking about themselves?  Or is it occultic?  There are those people in the world that feel that God and His people hate them and want nothing to do with Him or any of His people.  Is this a way of using nontraditional language to try to express to them that there is indeed a Creator than made them, loves them, and wants to do work in their lives?  Or is this some oddball new agers that stepped foot in a church a few times and appropriated a bit of the language and symbolism?

im not sure what your asking but i guess sometimes it can be used for cult things but i dont think people use these kinds of cards for that purpose well hopefully not lol..
