What is the grossest food you have even had to eat to be polite?

And I love eggplant, especially parmesan.  And I don't remember having any objection to pickled herring either.

I didn't eat the roasted caterpillars to be polite but because I was having a crazy moment.  And they were bitter and just awful.  Served me right!  Maybe they needed some horseradish.  Yuk!

Years ago my family and I had gone for a weekend to stay with my in-laws who had a beautiful cabin on the beach. My MIL was raving about this hamburger casserole that she makes. She said that she could not wait until we tried it. Well.....the first forkful of the stuff I put in to my mouth was just :31: gross, gross, gross. I finished a couple of forkfuls to be polite. Then she said " Honey can I get you seconds?"

I have never tried eggplant. My son loves an eggplant parmesan lasagna.

I think kale is bitter. It is extremely healthy. I drink a juice in the morning that has kale in it. It is a V8 infusion juice. I choke it down.
