This video coincides with this thread, D R A F T E D , in the General Forum.

His address, very short, reminds me of the talk that I heard start in the 90's and about a, "One World Order".  That talk evolved into discussions as to how it would be accomplished. Commanding over 7 billion individuals populating planet Earth. There would need be a one world government empowered to do so.
The United Nations came to mind.
Now, we have reached what we're told by those in positions of interest or power, that everyone on the planet are facing global crisis. Global warming, over population, food crisis, etc...

In the 90's I think it was, a movie premiered, "The Enemy Within". It was about martial law being declared in America over some crisis. In one of the lines some politician or military man spoke was the question, how do we activate this plan and ask soldiers and police, (which are all part of the executive branch of government by the way), to arrest their wife and family if need be?
The answer given was, we tell them it is a matter of national emergency to save lives. Not a direct quote.
However, now here we are in 2018 and on the cusp of the turn of the year the UN Secretary General gives this short speech talking about unity of all for the sake of survival due to the crisis around the globe.

How do you control a world population? Scare them all with global annihilation projections and tell them if they only comply with new rules, they'll be saved.

United Nations - Video message by United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres on the occasion of the 2018 New Year.

Text of the video message:

Dear friends around the world:

Happy New Year.
When I took office one year ago, I appealed for 2017 to be a year for peace.
Unfortunately – in fundamental ways, the world has gone in reverse.
On New Year’s Day 2018, I am not issuing an appeal. I am issuing an alert -- a red alert for our world.
Conflicts have deepened and new dangers have emerged.
Global anxieties about nuclear weapons are the highest since the Cold War.
Climate change is moving faster than we are.
Inequalities are growing.
We see horrific violations of human rights.
Nationalism and xenophobia are on the rise.
As we begin 2018, I call for unity.
I truly believe we can make our world more safe and secure.
We can settle conflicts, overcome hatred and defend shared values.
But we can only do that together.
I urge leaders everywhere to make this New Year’s resolution:
Narrow the gaps. Bridge the divides. Rebuild trust by bringing people together around common goals.

Unity is the path.
Our future depends on it.
I wish you peace and health in 2018. Thank you. Shokran. Xie Xie. Merci. Spasiba. Gracias. Obrigado.

I don't think dismissing his message is wise. Those in the UN are part of the background of all that happens in the worlds governments. And by consequence to those nations people.

The UN supports terrorism.   It should be moved to Pakistan or some place similar.  The UN should no longer be on American soil.

The words were sweet to the taste and music to the ears, yet, the UN members are most of the problem.  They seek peace, yet they allow terrorist to continue.  They want unity, yet they are more divisive today than ever before.  They want to world to come together, but only if the world agrees with them. Even a snakes hiss is in tune to the music once in a while.  Be careful who you listen to and who you follow.

The Globalists do not intend to control 7 billion people, they intend to get rid of at least 6 billion of us.
