I am sure that all psychiatrists do not think that the physical exam and neurological exam Trump can would be called an official psychiatric evaluation. It would be interesting to hear the debate. The American Psychiatric Association said that it was a valid screening and that he passed it. It was not the American Association of Neurological Surgeons or anything else. He had a psychiatric evaluation at his last checkup and the American Psychiatric Association agreed that it was acceptable. How many hoops does he need to jump through? The professional association that oversees psychiatric evaluation, the American Psychiatric Association, said that it would be unnecessary for him to have one if he passed the cursory one given to him by his general practitioner - a direct quote from them: "If mental health concerns are raised, the standard of care would result in the examining physician seeking consultation from an experienced psychiatrist who would approach the consultation with objectivity and within the physician-patient confidential relationship." His examining physician did not see a need for him to have a referral, so he does not need a referral, and this is according to the organization that sets the guidelines for who needs a psychiatric exam. Why would a democratic congressman or senator know more about whether or not he needs an exam than the main professional organization for psychiatrists? They (politicians) do not have the right to demand more than what has been done. They are only interested in trying to find a way to get rid of trump because they do not like him.
