Hubby and I went to the Spudshed today (huge farmer's market over here) and got 3 huge punnets of end-of-season cherries for $10. I probably should have put them back as soon as I saw them in the trolley lol. He had asked an assistant to get them so I would have felt bad. I reckon you have done exactly the right thing.
