I once attended a church that chose not to celebrate Christmas due to the pagan roots of the tradition.  So I am well-versed in how Christmas festivities have pagan roots and the scriptures that tell us to put away such things.  However, I know sincere Christians that do practice Christmas.  Do you believe it is wrong for Christians to celebrate Christmas?  Does the dynamic change if Christmas is kept Christ-centric?

Nimrod, Semiranis, Tammuz, Ishtar, Yule pig, queen of heaven (Isis, Diana) etc. The list of Babylonian demons and fallen angels goes on an on. All worshiped by peoples across the globe. And still today. Roman Sun-god worship was typically held December 25th to appease all their pagan followers.

Except for it obvious pagan roots, the Krampus is also a part of all this in Europe. Nasty.

Not every day purports to be worshiping God by pretense and using another festival. Rome has so thoroughly indoctrinated us that every week we 'worship' our Lord on a roman sun-day.

The Israelis say:

Day one towards Sabbath

Day two towards Sabbath

And so on.

Good gravy, this is the earliest "celebrating Christmas is satanic" thread I've ever seen on Worthy. Must be a new record. :D

And yes, just for the record my family loves celebrating Jesus' birth. Always have, always will!

Yes, that was a bit over-the-top.  Many people that celebrate Christmas do not include Santa Claus in their traditions.

Oh no. And put down the denominational commentary and actually read the scriptures and see what it really says.

Too much. Way too much. I have done it MY WAY for a very long time - why should I listen to anyone that does not espouse the roman doctrines?

You mean ACTUALLY read the scriptures?
