The fact that Francis received the eight-page letter, obtained by the AP, challenges his insistence that he has "zero tolerance" for sex abuse and cover-ups. It also calls into question his stated empathy with abuse survivors, compounding the most serious crisis of his five-year papacy. http://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/ap-exclusive-denial-pope-abuse-victims-letter-52842170

Then perhaps you should start by spelling it correctly. catholic: universal in extent; involving all; pertaining to the whole Christian body or church. Catholic: a member of the Catholic church. The first John Jay study on the abuses in the Catholic Church came to light in 2000. The conclusion of the Conference of Catholic Bishops was that the abuse was characterized by homosexuality. "The John Jay report found that 81% of the victims were male; and of all the victims, 22% were younger than age 10, 51% were between the ages of 11 and 14, and 27% were between the ages of 15 and 17 years." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Jay_Report

Actually we follow Francis' God. But though the Pope is pastor of the entire Catholic Church, unlike Prez Trump, Pope Francis has not asked us for personal loyalty oaths to him

I have left churches where the pastor has done something egregious. I will not sit under that leadership. So why do catholics sit under that leadership?

One is not forced to spell Catholic with a capital "C" simply because you think they should.... It's a proper noun, so English grammar, not me, dictates that you do, just as you have done.
