What is the rationale behind asking if it could be a gift? I know lot of people question whether if it is physical ailment or demonic. I have grand-mal seizures and petit mal seizures. My first petit-mals began in 1966 at the age of 5. My first grand-mal was in 1977 at the age of 16. My last one was in 2003, praise the Lord for that! Am I cured. No. I just do what the doctor says and take and monitor my meds. Is it a blessing? How could that be possible? God does not "bless" his people with affliction. Is it a curse? How could that be possible? God does not curse 4 year old children with car wrecks, disease that inflames the brain, or epilepsy. What is it then? It's just one of those things that happen in this fallen world. I am possessed by no demonic influences. I have a treatable afflicition of scar tissue in my brain.
