Other Priestly Garments

31 “Make the robe of the ephod entirely of blue cloth,

32 with an opening for the head in its center. There shall be a woven edge like a collar around this opening, so that it will not tear.

(Exodus 28:31-32)

33 Make pomegranates of blue, purple and scarlet yarn around the hem of the robe, with gold bells between them.

34 The gold bells and the pomegranates are to alternate around the hem of the robe.

35 Aaron must wear it when he ministers. The sound of the bells will be heard when he enters the Holy Place before the Lord and when he comes out, so that he will not die.

(Exodus 28:33-35)

36 “Make a plate of pure gold and engrave on it as on a seal: holy to the Lord.

37 Fasten a blue cord to it to attach it to the turban; it is to be on the front of the turban.

38 It will be on Aaron’s forehead, and he will bear the guilt involved in the sacred gifts the Israelites consecrate, whatever their gifts may be. It will be on Aaron’s forehead continually so that they will be acceptable to the Lord.

(Exodus 28: 36-38)

39 “Weave the tunic of fine linen and make the turban of fine linen. The sash is to be the work of an embroiderer.

40 Make tunics, sashes and caps for Aaron’s sons to give them dignity and honor.

41 After you put these clothes on your brother Aaron and his sons, anoint and ordain them. Consecrate them so they may serve me as priests.

42 “Make linen undergarments as a covering for the body, reaching from the waist to the thigh.

43 Aaron and his sons must wear them whenever they enter the tent of meeting or approach the altar to minister in the Holy Place, so that they will not incur guilt and die.

“This is to be a lasting ordinance for Aaron and his descendants.

(Exodus 28: 42-43)

Consecration of the Priests

And this is the thing that thou shalt do unto them to hallow them,

to minister unto me in the priest's office:

Take one young bullock,

and two rams without blemish,

And unleavened bread,

and cakes unleavened tempered with oil,

and wafers unleavened anointed with oil:

of wheaten flour shalt thou make them.

And thou shalt put them into one basket,

and bring them in the basket,

with the bullock and the two rams.

Exodus 29:1-3

And Aaron and his sons thou shalt bring unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation,

and shalt wash them with water.

And thou shalt take the garments,

and put upon Aaron the coat,

and the robe of the ephod,

and the ephod,

and the breastplate,

and gird him with the curious girdle of the ephod:

And thou shalt put the mitre upon his head,

and put the holy crown upon the mitre.

Then shalt thou take the anointing oil,

and pour it upon his head,

and anoint him.

Exodus 29:4-7

And thou shalt bring his sons,

and put coats upon them.

And thou shalt gird them with girdles,

Aaron and his sons,

and put the bonnets on them:

and the priest's office shall be theirs for a perpetual statute:

and thou shalt consecrate Aaron and his sons.

Exodus 29:8-9

OH what a beautiful reminder just came to me .  BUT PUT YE ON the LORD JESUS and make no provision for the flesh.    OH the lambs got something that Is of the body

and not the shadow.  WE GOT THE LORD .   OH let all put on the LORD JESUS and make no provision for the flesh.  For the BLOOD of JESUS cleanses not just the outside

like the blood of bulls and goats , BUT THE INSIDE ,cleansing deep into the conscious .    OH let all put those hands up and be praising the HOLY LORD .

Let the people arise and praise the LORD .    You are loved swidl .

Oh but how much more ,  the word of JESUS does cleanse and the Blood of Christ does cleanse and purify the heart .

All things in the law ,  POINT TO JESUS , and without the shedding of blood their is no remission of sins .  OH but how much greater THE BLOOD OF CHRIST

and the garments HE GIVES those who are HIS to wear .  OH the white clean robes of RIGHTEOUSNESS .   Now don't that just make folks wanna leap up and just praise the Lord .

And the OIL of the HOLYGHOST .      Hands up ,  I know yall want to praise the LORD .   OH yes , and their is no such thing as overpraising the ONE who has saves us

and can keep us from falling .
