Sin is when we agree to that evil temptation. "Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone. Temptation is every day, even in the house of God. Temptation can be overcome in the Way described in Scripture, in Christ Jesus as the Father permits and accomplishes . Sin can be washed away by the blood of Jesus, temptation doesn't go away, but resist the devil, and he will flee. Sin is punishable by death. It also has consequences daily on earth for almost everyone. Temptation is not necessarily punishable by death, though if someone is tempting someone else, it is sin and is punishable by death then - perhaps even a far greater judgment than other sin.
