Scriptures encouraging to those who believe in the Pre-Tribulation Rapture:
updated 17 Feb 2018 112pm

Many Scriptures exhort us to watch for Jesus to return, to trust the Lord for deliverance.

Those who disagree could list  Scriptures.

I pray that these Scriptures will be a comfort and help to all.

+++

This Scripture from Mark 13   1) speaks of that day of His coming, 2) exhorts us to watch for Him -- giving the reason "for ye know not when," 3) tells us that He is like a man on a journey who told his servants to watch, 4) tells us again to watch:

Mark 13:32-35   But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.
Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.
For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch.
Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning....

Mark 13:37  And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.

I Thess. 1:10   And to wait for His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.

Col. 3:4   When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.

Luke 12:40 - Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not.

Hebrews  11:5  In such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.

Matthew 25:13   Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh

Titus 2:13   Looking for that blessed hope and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ.

II Thess. 2:13   But we ought to thank God always for you, brothers beloved by the Lord, because God chose you, a firstfruit, for deliverance by the santification of the Spirit and belief of the truth.

Psalm 27:10   For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in his pavilion, In the secret of His tabernacle shall He hide me. He shall set me upon a rock.       [This specifically points to "the time of trouble," also called "the time of Jacob's trouble," "the tribulation," and indicates that believers will be where He dwells during that time.]

Psalm 31:24   Be of good cheer and He shall strengthen your heart.

Psalm 34:7   The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.

Psalm 91:13-14   Because he hath set his love upon Me, therefore will I deliver him.  I will set him on high, because he hath known My Name.

Matthew 24:27 - For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

Matthew 24:42 - Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.

Matthew 25:13   Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

Luke 21:34-36  34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.   35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.   36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

John 14:3   And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself;
John 14:18   I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.
John 14:28  Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father:

II Thessalonians 2:1-5 Geneva Bible (1599) Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our assembling unto him, 2 That ye be not suddenly moved from your mind, nor troubled neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter, as it were from us, as though the day of Christ were at hand.  3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a departing first, and that that man of sin be disclosed, even the son of perdition.  4 Which is an adversary, and exalteth himself against all that is called God, or that is worshipped: so that he doth sit as God in the Temple of God, showing himself that he is God.  5 Remember ye not, that when I was yet with you, I told you these things?   [The word translated "departing" was translated that way in several Bibles prior to the King James Version.]

Isaiah 26:19-21   Thy dead men shall live, together with my dead body shall they arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust: for thy dew is as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead. Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast. For, behold, the LORD cometh out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain.

Psalm 50:3-5   Our God shall come, and shall not keep silence:  a fire shall devour before him, and it shall be very tempestuous round about him.  4 He shall call to the heavens from above, and to the earth, that he may judge his people.   Gather my saints together unto me; those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice.

Psalm 50:15   Call upon Me in the day of trouble, and I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify Me.

Romans 5:9   Much more then, being now justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.

I Cor. 3:11-15   Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss; but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

I Cor. 15:52    In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

I Thess. 4:16-18   For the Lord shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first, then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words.

I Thess. 5:2   For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.

I Thess. 5:9  For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ.

II Tim. 4:8    Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

Heb. 10:19   We have confidence to come into the holy place through the blood of Jesus.

I Pet. 5:4    And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away.

II Peter 2:9   The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished.

Jude 1:14   And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints.

Rev. 3:10   Because thou hast kept the word of My patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.
[The time of temptation, I believe is the time of tribulation, trial of all the world.]

Rev. 4:1   Come up hither.

Rev. 4:4    And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold.

Hebrews  11:5  In such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.

Revelation 19:11 to 14   And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.

Those who disagree ought to list  Scriptures, just Scriptures, that say we are caught up at Christ's Second Coming when He comes with His saints all on white horses.  I haven't seen such a list.   Usually what is offered is some effort to change meaning, by an addition to Scriptures that promise deliverance from wrath.

snip ...

I Cor. 15:52    In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

snip ...

I underlined the part that disagrees with a pre-tribulation rapture.  I don't have to add any more.

As to importance:  since most people on earth remain under a death sentence due to sin,

and most people don't care at all about what the Bible says,  nor about rapture in truth nor in fairy tails,

and most people don't have to know nor understand any such thing,  (except to give up fairy tails),

WHAT do you choose to talk with people about,   to direct them to Christ Jesus to be saved ?

i.e. YHVH'S Word to the lost in this world , as they need salvation from their sins.....

Concerning His Judgment,   what they know or think about rapture doesn't matter - turning to Him is what's important, right ?

Please don't hi-jack the thread.  If you have something against what I posted, discuss this.  If you want to know what others say to the lost, start a thread pertaining to that subject.

You already listed them, don't you know what they say?

II Thessalonians 2  Now concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered together to him, we ask you, brothers, 2 not to be quickly shaken in mind or alarmed, either by a spirit or a spoken word, or a letter seeming to be from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has come. 3 Let no one deceive you in any way. For that day will not come, unless the rebellion comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction,

Do you not see that the coming and the gathering will not come until 1) the rebellion comes, and 2) the anti-christ is revealed?

Now exactly how do you associate the raising of the dead with anything other than the first resurrection spoken of by John?  From the very first passage you posted, when does the gathering occur?  And do the living precede the dead?

I Thessalonians 4: 16 For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord.18 Therefore encourage one another with these words.

Dead first, then those who are alive, caught up together in that order.  Doesn't support your theory, but be encouraged with these words says Paul!

God bless

  • For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive.  But each in his own order: Christ the first fruits, after that those who are Christ’s at His coming.  1 Corinthians 15:22-23

**** I left out a favorite Scripture, and will insert it here:

Mary ,

Don't you know the purpose that Jesus has for you , being neither an inhabitant of Judea , or a worshiper of the  " holy place " , for being in the midst of the tribulation ?

Well do not feel to bad , you are not the lone ranger in this regard .

To this day not one post-tribulation advocate has been able to formulate a biblically cogent purpose for placing themselves in the midst of this prophesized  people who are  in wonderment of the " holy place "  either .

" When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation , spoken by Daniel  the prophet , STAND IN THE HOLY PLACE ... "

                                                                                           ( Matthew 24 : 15 )
