Since scripture is truth and the exemplar of rational experience, what I say in this matter is not false. I read and repeat. I don't create. I get that you don't like it. The reality is a tough one. I don't like it either. No sentient, rational creature wants to experience the coming trials. But the Lord said it would happen and has promised to keep watch over those that trust in Him, if we keep the word of His patient enduring. Trumps are judgment perhaps, but the results look much more like they are prompts to turn to the Lord in the face of calamity and crisis; as seen in the first 6 trumps. The 7th trump ushering in the return of Jesus, the gathering of the friends of Jesus, and the long delayed finality of the wrath of the Most High and the Lamb. 7 The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up. 8 And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood; 9 And the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed. 10 And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters; 11 And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter. 12 And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of them was darkened, and the day shone not for a third part of it, and the night likewise. Every time the last trump is mentioned it's associated with the gathering of the elect, the dead raised first and the then the living. In the definitive word on the end of the age, Revelation, we see 7 trumps only; 1-7 sounded in order, the 7th being the last. Ergo, the last trump is the 7th trump. This is a neat and simple answer to the last trump. It's not forced and we don't need a novella nor a round table to ascertain this truth. Occam's razor is a problem-solving principle attributed to William of Ockham (c. 1287–1347), who was an English Franciscan friar and scholastic philosopher and theologian.
