It's a new English translation. It's available online and free to copy, download or share

I'd never looked at it before so I just took a quick look.   My initial impression is that I like the study tool at https://lumina.bible.org/bible/John+1.  I set it to John 1 since I'm very familiar with that chapter.   My initial impression is that a knowledgeable person (or group) was writing the NET notes.

I think that the biggest value is the detailed descriptions of why they chose particular ways of translating things.  This is the type of thing that all translators do, but it is usually hidden from the reader.

Overall, my first impression of the NET bible as implemented with the study tool is positive.  I think that there is a lot that can be learned from the notes and their reasoning why they chose particular translations.

I was asking this question for our daughter, she very much likes to get this Bible and I told her that I would try to get some opinions from you guys  , there are so many inaccurate translations,

 Thanks !!!

The New English Bible is a very good bible translation. It is more formal.
