Prove it, please.

Book, chapter and verses.

That would require another thread and you have to look mostly at the Hebrew and Greek as I already said. Did a long study on this years ago with a church elder

Well, I was going to mention something that's quite common, but I'm not. I'm not going to shake the hornet's nest or kick the skunk, no I'm not.  :D

If you cannot show me from the Bible with a couple of passages in the translated English, i highly doubt your stance.

Plus, are you not saying that God cannot give us His Word and we cannot understand it without years of study?

But i do have a question.

WHICH Hebrew and Greek?

And, PLEASE do not say "the original Hebrew and Greek".

Give me a couple of passages, and i will check them out.

ie: show me a verse where the Holy Spirit is mentioned and that Greek or Hebrew word is female in origin.

a "church elder" ?

Which church, please?

Nooo. It actually means that way it sounds. Honor your father and mother.

Would be a lot easier for people to understand such concepts if they could understand the true nature of the Trinity. As Solomon said, There is no new thing under the sun. Including the concept of Father and Mother. The holy Ghost when you study Scripture in the ancient languages is FEMALE. Our true mother.

And where did you find this in the Bible?

Had a nice chat with a fellow about Jesus . . . he completely freaked out when I explained that Jesus was Jewish . . . born in Bethlehem to Jewish parents, in Judea and all that.

Called me the antichrist among a few other things. I got to meet some interesting people while working hotel security.  :)

A friend of my grandmothers was very bigoted toward Jews.  When I reminded her that her Savior is Jewish, she went into a rage yelling "No He's not!  He's a Moabite!  Ruth was a Moabite!"  There was nothing left for me to say.  You can't reason with that.

He was outright telling me publicly that we should agree to use his English translation alone for any debate. The implication behind this statement is that he regards his English translation as superior to any Greek text, including the one his English translation was based on.

What was HIS translation?

No, this is from a local group that's very 'charismatic'.  Their meetings involve lots of cheer leading and bragging about how many people each member has 'saved' each week.  They also brag repeatedly how serious illnesses didn't need doctors and were cured by Jesus.  I attended one meeting and that was enough.

Oh, so none of these people wore glasses, or false teeth or hearing aids, etc.

Let me guess, there was also a lot of gibber-jabbering?

Speaking of Mary. I was talking to a guy a few years ago that believed that Mary never had sex after Jesus' birth and that his "brothers" were really cousins or something. He also believed Mary was perfect because Jesus could only come from "perfect" flesh. I don't know what bible book, chapters or verses he got that stuff from. We were not in a place to discuss it at the time.

Yeah, they have no idea of languages.

The Catholic religion says the word translated "brother" should be "cousin". Wrong. The word "cousin" is clearly found in the scripture and it means--you've got it--cousin!   Luke 1:36 And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren. Luke 1:58 And her neighbours and her cousins heard how the Lord had shewed great mercy upon her; and they rejoiced with her.

The N/T was translated into greek and they have specific words for Actual blood relative and cousin.Mark 6:3-4 these were his literal brothers and sisters because the word for brother is "Adelphos" literal blood relative. The word for Cousin is " Anepsios" not used here. So Jesus had literal brothers and sisters according to the bible, this refutes Rome's teaching that Mary remained a perpetual virgin all her life. Romes false doctrines are exposed by the truth of Scripture amen

That half of the earth are descended from the sun nd are warm blooded and the other half from the moon and are cold blooded.so when the bible says honor your father and mother, it actually means worship the sun and moon
