That would make you evil. But God's opinion has to be most important. We have a duty to love others. That means doing what's ultimately best for them, not necessarily pleasing them. Oh okay, I see. Yeah, pleasing others/everybody is difficult and definitely not the point of the faith. However, community itself seems to be something that all Christians find themselves in. Why else would people be on this site?

Unfortunately, many are still isolated. But you have a good point. Community is important for the Christian. I wonder why they remain isolated; I see many Christians trying to get more people "plugged in." What would you say are the benefits of community with other Christians? They cannot be separated. If I am connected to the Vine He produces fruit. He changes our motives and values first, but this change produces a change in life style. As I am immersed in His word, God transforms my mind to see others as He sees them and to have compassion on others. Selfishness dies as life revolves around God and His love motivates and guides me. 2Co 13:5 ESV Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Or do you not realize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you fail to meet the test! Gal 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

We all fall short of the glory of God, but being a Christian means attempting to not fall as much and having the ability to apologize for when you do. It also means attempting to help those around you to not fall down as much, either. I'm one of these isolated Christians mentioned in this thread. Primary reasons are that i'm afraid of waddling into a bad church and not being able to tell (being new), i'd like to do more study and prayer on my own, and unfortunately, i'm just really not a people person. Like, at all. I agree that community is a good thing, but I guess i'm not in a place to go seeking a proper one just yet, nor does the prospect of talking appeal to me.
