A yogi who overcame crushing confidence issues by marrying herself even appointed three friends as witnesses when she recited her vows into a heart-shaped mirror on an idyllic beach. After being inspired by a relationship guru to tie the knot, Mickie Monroe, 28, claims her love for herself has deepened every day since her wedding. Proudly wearing her $100 (£56) wedding ring, Mickie, who lives on Australia's Gold Coast and was married on its Miami Beach, said: 'If you'd have asked me a couple of years ago about self-marriage, I'd have thought it was narcissistic. 'But now I realise it's nothing to do with narcissism, which focuses on what other people think of you. It's more about self-awareness, and how to deal with those negative, critical thoughts everyone has about themselves. 'If I can be kinder to myself, then it has a ripple effect and will, in turn, make me a more loving person to others.' She also often call's herself on the phone just to see if she is home She loves herself... She thinks she's grand She goes to the movies She holds her hand She wraps her arms around her waist And when she gets fresh She slaps her face. I know what you mean...as we encounter them. Hi Yowm I actually had typed something else in here. However, after doing so, I felt something was wrong and went back and edited it. At the end of the day, this lady, along with the rest of the unsaved world, needs prayer for salvation. Thanks friend. I know what you mean as well. As time goes on I begin to grieve more and more for the lost as they put themselves in untenable positions by refusing to listen to the truth, or even seeking it. I sense the need for intercession more and more, as the madness in our world continues. Perhaps God may put a catalyst in their lives..... perhaps He may do anything, if we pray.... and of course you do too. I begin by praying for my neighbours and acquaintances collectively, then the wider world generally (when praying for the lost). They have no idea what they are facing of course.... neither did I, and there but for the grace of God go I. I cannot help but feel compassion as they continue to the edge of the big canyon and fall over via death or decision. I am not wanting to lay a big burden on people's hearts, it's just that I can't help but know what I am saved from, and, please God, save them.
