I have thought, concerning the Ten Commandments. Jesus did expounded on a couple of them. Brought forth the true intent of two of them, i.e. “not committing adultery.” Bringing forth the truth  that even to “look with lust” is committing adultery. And again bringing forth the truth about “being angry with your brother” how that it itself is sin. Have thought, that if He had continued to expound on the rest of the commandments. When He got to the “Sabbath day” commandment, He  might say “the Sabbath was made for man, that he might rest from the works of his hand and enter into the rest of God”

Could it be that those that have trusted Christ for salvation and ceased from their own works,  have entered in the rest of God. Are thereby keeping the Sabbath every day of their life’s?

A question I have pondered, so I thought I toss it out.

Much love in Christ, Not me

that's what I am doing.

Blessed are you than. To enter into the rest of God is a “pardon the pun” a very restful place.

But it is so much  more than that. It is a place of true growth and increase. Blessed is anybody that finds the way in.

Hello not me, there many takes in your post about to rest on the Sabath.

That Jesus is our Sabath and we rest on his work, the creator of the new day with his own work, so to speak, the new day in Christ, and we are in this new day of Christ every day of our life, every moment of our life.

In the old if someone does not keep the holidays and Sabath is one of them , they were cut off, or disinherited, something like that, even they can put you to death, means you were dead to the Lord.

In Jesus Christ we are always alive to him, even if we are examined under the Old and deserved death, in him we are always alive, never cut off, in his name.

This is our rest in him.

Never to be AFRAID OF SPIRITUAL DEATH.

WE ARE ALWAYS ALIVE IN HIM.

OUR SINS DO NOT GIVE US SPIRITUAL DEATH.

We try to get away from him in this life, but he always follow us.

Never live you or fore shake you.

Hope I am not ranting without a propose.

As long as this is what your personal relationship with Christ is teaching you I dare not intervene. I would make one request of you,  that you make sure it’s what your personal relationship with Christ is teaching you and not your human reasoning.

Sorry you saw it that way, I did not mirror my self but the truth of the Gospel.

Jesus CHRIST is calling the unrighteous and sinners to faith.

He died for all

As long as we keep feeding our personal relationship with Christ we will get our “well done thou good and faithful servant(s).”

What you said is good, but Jesus does not asks from everyone the same harvest.

As he gives them he requires.

(I don't need to make reference to the parable of the talents, if I speak to someone who knows the scriptures, that should comes to their mines).

To whom much is given much is required.

We should be careful what we ask and how we judge, like we are the givers, we play Jesus.

A Moslem testified:

I study abroad and I understand and believe.

I went home and remain a secret believer.

I was married already before.

Then I propose my self to take my wife and children abroad.

I work and live in a neighbourhood away from Moslems close to a flurising missionary church.

I never said anything against Jesus CHRIST to my children, and I call Christian co-workers to invite my children to their Friday nights parties.

When my children believe my wife followed.

And they tried to convert me, how funny.

Then I heard a voice within me.

"Good and faitfull servant", how strange.

How do you know, we should be careful not to play God to others

God made us lustful beings, we learn not to be carried away.

People can do that with Jesus and without.
