How muslim friend, OneGodBeliever believes the Bible has been corrupted.

He states:

"You said bible isn't corrupted. Shall we discuss that? I say its clearly is with verses & whole books removed and also contradictions!"

So, lets have a friendly, loving, open discussion on this

Now my friend.

I believe the Authorised Version ( later renamed The King James ) is the Word of God and is without error or corruption.

Do i think modern translations have corrupted the Word of God?

Yes.

So, show me the corruption of the KJV.

WHO corrupted it and when?

Also: I can provide proof the quran has been corrupted, but that is not the topic we are discussing.

OK fair enough. I cannot say about other versions since verses are removed which u already agree to corruption in them. We can continue to my second claim books removed. Below 14 books are part of bible originally but were removed by the Vatican. My question is you claim KJV as word of God but it does not contain below books which are actually part of bible:

  • 1 Esdras
  • 2 Esdras
  • Tobit
  • Judith
  • The rest of Esther
  • The Wisdom of Solomon
  • Ecclesiasticus
  • Baruch with the epistle Jeremiah
  • The Songs of the 3 Holy children
  • The history of Susana
  • bel and the dragon
  • The prayer for Manasses
  • 1 Maccabees
  • 2 Maccabees

The above books must be the Catholic Apocrypha.    Christian scholars do not accept the Apocrypha as the inspired, authoritive word of God.  They contain errors and contradictions to what the Bible teaches.

The New Testament quotes the Old Testament hundreds of times....but the New Testament never quotes the Apocrypha.

Actually, they are not part of the Bible.   That's why they are always placed in between the Old and New Testaments.   They are not canonical whatsoever.

Those books would only be found in Catholic Bibles.

Btw, about our Christian Bible....Old and New Testament, verses have not been removed.    OneGodBeliever, you have wrongly been taught the Bible is corrupted.  And as for other translations, the meaning is still there....but sometimes a newer word might be used, as sometimes we in modern times might not understand the meaning of an older word (not in use today).

The number of books depends on wheather to include the apocrypha or not, it never effects the actual theology of Christianity or the basic meaning of the Bible.

By the way if the Bible is corrupt then why did Mohammed say he came to affirm the Gospel and Torah. Muslims say no it means he came to affirm the original Gospel and Torah as revealed to Jesus and Moses, but a few questions to Muslims where is the word original Gospel and Torah in the Quran, it just says the Gospel and Torah? Mohammed said to the Ahl Al Kitab to judge by their own books and to look to their own books if they have any doubt about his message, but how could they do this if their books were corrupted? If Mohammed said all this then this means the scriptures at Mohammed's time were yet uncorrupted and if that's true then why is there a need for the Quran?

Do you have gospel of Jesus? Not gospel according to Matthew, Luke, John etc!

First learn grammar and second do you have the Quran of Mohammed or the one Uthman complied many years after his death and do you even have a complete Quran from Uthman's time? Also your prophet seemed to have no problem with according to Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.
