How can Jesus Christ be God?

In Genesis 1:26, “God said, let us make man in our image, after our likeness.” This shows that man has a similar image or likeness to God. What is it? I’d like you to think about yourself for a moment. You are one man, with three parts.

1) You have a body which gives you world consciousness through your five senses. Your body is 100% human. It allows you to interact with the physical universe.

2) You have a soul made up of your mind, emotions and will, also known as your personality. This gives you self consciousness. It is 100% human.

3) You have a spirit which gives you God consciousness making you think that there is a God. It is your “God detector.” It is also 100% human.

So you are one man with three parts. You are a trinity, meaning three in one. (1 Thess. 5:23).

We can represent God in a similar manner with 3 circles. Islam, the Quran, Christianity and the Bible all believe in one God. In Matthew 28:19, Jesus teaches that there is only one true God by the singular word name, not names, “baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost”. The one true God has three parts known as the Father, the HUIOS Son and the Holy Spirit.

1) As we have a spirit that is 100% human, so God has a Spirit called the Holy Spirit, who is 100% God.

2) As we have a body that is 100% human that interacts with the physical universe, so God has something like a body through which He interacts with the physical universe, called the Son who is 100% God. It was God the Huios Son that spoke and appeared to Adam, Abraham, Jacob, Moses, Solomon, Isaiah and who was conceived into Mary as Jesus Christ. Before His conception, the Huios Son was only 100% God, but after His conception He was both 100% God and 100% man. It is like you having both an Iranian passport and an Australian passport. This makes you 100% Iranian and 100% Australian.

3) As you have a soul which is 100% human that tells your body what to do, so God has something like a soul called God the Father who tells the Huios Son what to do, such as to be conceived in Mary. Therefore, as you are one man with a spirit, soul and body, each being 100% human, so there is one true God made up of the Father, the Huios Son, and the Holy Spirit, each part being 100% God. As you are a trinity, so God is the Trinity, made up of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. This is in Proverbs 30:4; Psalm 2:12; Isaiah 9:6; 48:12,13,16; Daniel 3:25; Micah 5:2; Exodus 3:3-15; (24:9-18); John 8:58,59,24.

Not a cookie-cutter image. The image means 'like unto'.

That is, free, creative and with similar traits to the Lord God. A God-like character. David had a heart like God's. That kind of thing.

Many people think that since God speaks of the the Holy Spirit this means that the Holy Spirit is an entity separate from God.  But it does not.   The key to understanding this mystery is to understand that, much as we do, God talks among himself.  He has always done this (from eternity) and always will.

In other words there is conversation in God's mind between himself as the Father, Himself as the Son, and himself as the Holy Spirit: As a Trinity, you might say.   What I am saying is, the Father is him, the Son is him, and the Holy Spirit is him.  So when he metaphorically talks of sending the Holy Spirit, it is him way of saying that he is coming himself.

But as the 4 Gospels point out, God always speaks to us as Jesus, and he always will.

May God bless you,

Wrong.

"But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you."

If you look at the context of this verse you will see that these are the direct words of Jesus Himself.  What God says as he talks among himself as the Holy Spirit is not known.  So we do not know what he says back to himself in this context, or any other context.

What God does as the Holy Spirit is to open our minds so that we can understand what he is saying to us as Jesus.  Just look at any verse in the Bible and you may see what is said about the Holy Spirit, but never any direct words of God as the Holy Spirit.  So again I say that God speaks to us in direct words only as Jesus.  And this will always be true.

The difference between God and man is that God is:

1) omniscient=  knows all

2)omnipotent=can do all

3 )     IS CREATOR of ALL

versus man like the angels

1 ) does not know all

2)  cannot do all

3)  Is not creator of anything without Gods help.

God breathed into man His Spirit, so man was made in the image of God, meaning, God instilled into man God consciousness.

But man is NOT GOD, man was given knowledge to be able to care for the planet but through mans fall from Gods Grace, even mans knowledge without Gods Holy Spirit living inside Him is now faulty by sin in taking good care of this planet.

The problem is that sin entered man and made mans fall into pride temptation, thinking that he=man/woman could be God also , which is false and a falling away of God consciousness.

Man/woman need Gods help to find his way back to Him.

God does NOT need our help.

God the Father, Son, Holy Spirit are ONE like the composition of water is: 1)liquid, 2)solid,3)vapor

2)solid and 3) vapor are two other states of its original composition 1)water yet they are ALL the same.

we man/woman, are made from dust and shall return to dust,(Genesis 2:7) and Gods breathed into us life. what keeps us alive is Gods Holy Spirit living inside us.

without Gods Holy Spirit living inside us, we cannot connect back to God EVER.

BEWARE of false teachers and religions that say that man is same like God. That is a lie that satan tried to instill into Eve and Adam in the garden of Eden, that man/woman where exact like God,which is false.

Man /woman were made in the image of God, they are part of Gods creation, but without God they are not complete or part of God.

Just like an artists drawing or work is made in the image of the artist, but the art work is not the artist.

so is it with God and his creation, we are made from God, so we are his creation and NOT his creator.

God is the fullness of CREATION of ALL

I don't think people have spirits unless they are born again. The spirit is what is born.

I agree. I think we have a form of His sensibilities regarding right and wrong and sense of justice.

The correct explanation is this. When we speak of God it is not the dividing of himself into parts or having three types of composition, it's name recognition.  That is to say, yes God has three names: the father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, but the name by which he made the universe and the name by which he speaks to us is Jesus.

Lets say it like this.  God said to Job, "Can you by your own power make one blade of grass or one grain of sand.  And can you by your power make one star and cause it to move from one place to another."   And by this Job recognized God by the name Jesus because according to John 1:3 and Colossians 1:16 Christ is the one who did all of this.  And as Job said, this is the most wonderful revelation we can have.

This is why we see the 4 Gospels speaking of God as Jesus.  And why Thomas calls Jesus My Lord and My God in John 20:28.  And why all the Gospel writers used the term Lord or God when they spoke of him.  And why John 1:1 says "... and he was God."

So yes, God is one person or one being like we are.  But he speaks to us in the Bible as Jesus, the one who made us and the one who saves us.

If you read the Bible, in the time before Jesus' birth, God spoke to man as Himself.
