Do we have to do good works to be saved ?

Israel and jews are NOT indistinguishable.

Jews are still known by proxy of usurping the holy land.

ISRAEL (the people) where told to move north and west of palestine

They "Jews" will try to claim the inheritence of ISRAEL as prophesised.

Peter endorses Paul (the "Jew")

But it isnt a minor issue, salvation being of faith only.

If you have faith and good works you are not denying faith in the proccess

Not Christ, I am saying our own good works reflect our belief if the belief is genuine.

Saying "I beleive" and then sinning is a poor demonstration or example to other people. No?

I have faith so according to Paul I'm saved already regardless ....right?

Why not, you have already judged Paul and thus you have judged the Gospel given to the Gentiles.

Rome may welcome you with open arms, they seem to trust in their works.

I judge the letters of Paul, as did John, James also and when I explained why (along with your admixture of Jew and Israel as a minor issue) I was left still asking for clarification on Johns take on Peter which went straight over your head as you claimed it to be off topic.

27 good works that benefit the poor and/or widows and orphans will suffice.

 

Now that we have settled that, let’s move on to other issues...let me know if I can clarify any other problems

Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these;  Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like:  of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.  

I simply believe the scriptures.  If it tells me a thief won't inherit the kingdom of god, I believe it.  If it says an adulterer won't inherit the kingdom of God, I believe it.  If it says a fornicator won't inherit the kingdom of God, I believe it.  If it says that those who are into witchcraft won't inherit the kingdom of God, I believe it.  I don't see any exceptions for those who got saved.  It is simply saying these people will not inherit the kingdom of God.  

The typical response to these scriptures is to claim they can't really mean this in regard to Christians because they will claim that would contradict other scriptures, but I can just as easily turn it around and say their favorite eternal security passages can't mean that because they would contradict these scriptures.  Thus the cycle continues.  

Eternal security is based on whether Jesus was raised or not.
Either you're still in your sins or your sins have been paid for.
I don't think the dead in their graves have a choice now. :rolleyes:

1 Cor 15:12-19 But if it is preached that Christ has been raised from the dead, how can some of you say that there is no resurrection of the dead? 13If there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised. 14And if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith. 15More than that, we are then found to be false witnesses about God, for we have testified about God that he raised Christ from the dead. But he did not raise him if in fact the dead are not raised. 16For if the dead are not raised, then Christ has not been raised either. 17And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins. 18Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ are lost. 19If only for this life we have hope in Christ, we are of all people most to be pitied.

Perhaps others will say that is incorrect and I would welcome their advice on this myself as Paul is at variance to Jesus and his deciples on certain things which although has not effected my trust in the Lord has led me to search for answers (the truth).

Hi Dan,

If you think Paul teaches a different philosophy  you would be saying that ALL scripture is not God breathed & Paul should not be in the cannon of scripture, or he is not from God, I would say he is clarifying
