Recommended Posts

Preachers accepting money is not the issue.

2 Cor 11

7Was it a sin for me to humble myself in order to exalt you, because I preached the gospel of God to you free of charge? 8I robbed other churches by accepting their support in order to serve you. 9And when I was with you and in need, I was not a burden to anyone; for the brothers who came from Macedonia supplied my needs. I have refrained from being a burden to you in any way, and I will continue to do so.…

It could be argued that Romans 13 is an indictment against the founders of the U.S. who rebelled against their government and created the U.S.

Opposite of faith hmm maybe or maybe not, to fear the lord is of my faith.

does fear have a place in faith in your life ?

So they rebelled against who? Britain? Holland? France?  That is the point, the Dutch here weren't going to listen to King George and the English wouldn't listen to the King of Holland etc.

Their government was Britain. They were a colony. They rebelled. It resulted in not one, but two wars. One gave us independence and one (1812) secured it "permanently".
