Unusual to have two JW's talk to me at my fence just now.

I am blacklisted.

As normal, they mentioned how important is God's name.

They asked what is Gods' name.

I answered that is was "Yeshua hamashia baruch hashem", "Adonai", "Jehovah", etc.

When i said "yeshua hamashia baruch hashem" she appeared to be taken aback a bit.

I think the red flags were going off. Maybe something like "Oh, this guy KNOWS something!"

I told them that Moses asked God what His name was and God said His name is "ego eimi" or "I am".

I told them that Jesus also uses that name.

They ( as usual ) totally ignored this and asked me to turn to Psalm 88.

I refused to read their NWT and got my KJV.

The passage gives Gods' name as Jehovah.

I asked them something like "So, did God LIE when He told Moses His name was I AM?"

They of course said "No".

Suddenly, they wanted to leave!

I told them that Jesus is also called/referred to as Jehovah which they don't believe.

My prayer is that the JW's will not be successful in spreading their filth and lies and they would come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior, repent and be born again.

In the early 1970s I did some personal evangelism with a pastor who had a ministry, including a radio program, to the Jewish people.  One day the Jehovah's Witnesses came calling to the pastor's door.  Well, as you know, they usually run into people who do not really know the Bible.  Also, once they start talking they just go on and on.  Well, of course, Rev. Allensworth really knew the Bible front to back....so they didn't know what hit them and they finally left.

I have done something similar!

I ask them that Jesus says that unless you believe that He is the I AM, you will die in your sins, so do you believe He is the I AM?

Another doozy is to ask them who raised Jesus.

When they say "God", i say that i agree and ask them to quote John 2:19 and ask them if Jesus was lieing.

No, thats the mormons who believe Jesus is satans brother and you can become a God of your own planet.

Yes, JW's deny the cross, deny hell, deny the resurrection, etc.

My friend has sitting in on a meeting a JW and a mutual acquaintance is having next week so i gave him some ammunition like the magazine number, date and page number of a number of end-of-the-world prophecies, etc.

As they are very adept at tieing the average Christian up into a doctrinal pretzel, i suggested he attack the foundation itself, the watchtower rather than debate Scripture which may get nowhere.

I’ve never understood Unitarians and Jehovas witness, they themselves aren’t sure if Jesus is a human appointed as son of God or the actual son of God, I’ve always found the Unitarian version of the divinity of Jesus to be foggy and very confusing since they claim he isn’t God or divine in anyway while still describing him to be the begotten son of God. Arguing with Unitarians or JWs is more sensible then arguing with Muslims as I’ve found it, as we can both agree the Bible is not corrupted, we can both agree that Jesus died on the cross to save the world, we just can’t agree on the explanation of the divinity of Jesus. The easiest way to refute Unitarianism and JWs is to ask them if they believe if Jesus is the begotten son of God, they will say yes of course, you say do you believe he’s one with the Father, they will say no, and that basically refutes their own claim of being monotheistic.

The Jehovas witness and Unitarians actively corrupt terms in the Bible, mistranslate verses, and misinterpret verses to support their doctrine. A good example of a question that Jehovas Witness don’t like being asked about, is how come when Jesus said before Abraham was I AM, was translated as I was instead of I AM, yet the same Greek word is being used here as when God said to Moses I AM what I AM? Can I have a Jehovas Witness explain this dilemma to me please?

Or ask, "What must I do to be saved?" and watch them take you for a ride around the Kingdom. Lol

No, they will argue over the word "saved".

Better to ask "what must i do to inherit the kingdom of God?"

They say gain knowledge.

I say that the Bible says unless you are Born Again, you will NOT inherit the kingdom of God.
