One way I look at it is as follows: We live in a created universe that rests on solid physical laws. But how solid are they? And what are the laws (if any) that govern the ages preceding and following the ones clarified in the bible? When the bible discusses things outside our natural world, it is like it is discussing the color red in front of the inhabitants of this age that only see in grayscale. It doesn't mean red doesn't exist. It means we can't comprehend it. And creation and the ages don't begin and end with the limits of our comprehension.
