The Bush administration's push for quick democracy in the Middle East has an increasingly clear implication: if Islamist organizations such as Hamas are to be likely electoral winners, Western powers should stop classifying them as terrorists and instead come to terms with them.

This conclusion follows from such efforts as those led by Alastair Crooke and his Conflicts Forum; the European Union's exploration of opening a dialogue with the Islamists; and an astonishing statement in which the White House spokesman referred to Hamas members as "business professionals."

Before this whitewashing of Hamas proceeds too far ahead, it bears noting that the organization has not just murdered over four hundred Israelis but also prepared itself for war with the United States.

The ideological justification for war is in place. In 2003, Hamas declared President George W. Bush "Islam's biggest enemy" and in 2004 it called him "the enemy of G-d, the enemy of Islam and Muslims." A 2004 press release announced that "Hamas considers the U.S as an enemy and as an accomplice to the Israeli enemy aggression against the Palestinians.

Canada has more than 2 choices but our current government is only slightly better than the last government we had. Free trade is the worst thing that ever happened to Canadians ever. Well maybe not the absolute worst but it ranks up there pretty high. Our other choices for government have no federal experience at all so everybodys afraid to vote for them. So we continually get stuck with the lesser of two evils. Very much the same as the US of A

No, you have trying to tell us about skull and bones, the illuminati, and so on. This article is talking about Arab/Muslim terrorist organizations on American soil. However what this article fails to point out is that there are, in addition to Hamas cells in the US, there are 14 Hezbollah cells as well.

Dr. Price in his book, "Fast Facts on the Middle East Conflict," provides a map of the location of many of the terrorist cells in the US.

Years ago, the terrorists swore that when they were finished with Israel, they would carry their fight to the US as well. They are making good on that pledge.

We're not supposed to spin conspiracy yarns. Whether that stuff is real or not, is beside the point. This article does not speak to the conspiracy theories. It speaks to legitimate, certifiable threats that the Arabs/Muslims have made no secret about. They have proven their commitment to our destruction. We need to take them out before they strike us again.

I agree. BTW, Canada is in this with the US. They have also had a large degree of Muslim immigration up there as well. Some enter the US from Canada. This is something about which our two countries need to join forces, and work together on.
