(Worthy News) - The division in the United States that has escalated into the organized harassment of presidential aides has six in 10 worried about the violence from anti-Trump advocates and nearly a third fearing it will end in civil war.

The latest survey from Rasmussen Reports found that 59 percent of all voters “are concerned that those opposed to President Trump’s policies will resort to violence.”

We've been in a cold civil war for about 12 years and it has ramped up. Whether or not it becomes hot is up to us.

I don't think the Antifa, mask-wearing thugs and anarchists have the stomach for a real fight.   When they start getting real pushback and people they harass strike back in self defense and the thugs start getting hurt in the process more often, they will likely decide that protesting and rioting is overrated.

I don't think they have what it takes.  When some of their number start getting hurt in these clashes they instigate, they will not have the courage to fight.  Right now, they aren't paying a price.  But when people start fighting back, they will likely stop.  Bullies are that way.  They blow and bluster and throw some punches, but when they discover that the fists fly in both directions and people are not going to put up with them, it might change them.

I think youd be surprised. Ive talked to many military folks and they seem as divided as the rest of the country. I think a large percentage, probably the majority probably would side on the government-but i also think that a sizeable portion would defect.

But, the fact is were already in a civil war. It is being fought more like the cold war, then our last civil war, with demonstrations, grand standing and targeted violence.

Here are the questions that were asked in that poll:

1. How concerned are you that those opposed to President Trump’s policies will resort to violence? The result (59%)

2. How concerned are you that those critical of the media’s coverage of President Trump will resort to violence?  The result (53%)

3. How likely is that the United States will experience a second civil war sometime in the next five years?

None of the right leaning articles I read gave the results of the second question where the survey also found that 53 percent believe those critical of the media’s coverage of Trump will resort to violence. So the numbers are almost the same for those believing there will be violence from the left as there are for violence from the right. 

But here's the NOT SO big surprise. The same exact question was asked by the same polling company during President Obama's second year in office and the results were almost identical except the violence was expected from the right at that time.

It's always a good idea to go beyond the headlines when you read ones like the examples I gave. This is true whether they come from the right or the left. For those who remember, there was a lot of talk about America having a second civil war back in the 1990's when Bill Clinton was in office. It still hasn't happened. And while 31% believe the United States will likely experience a second civil war in the next 5 years, more than double that amount believe that there won't, and the odds are very high that the majority are correct.  

 

The difference is that the Left, immediately after Trump's election and inauguration, DID resort to unprecedented violence.  Stories abound of violent riots, property damage, and so on.   The Antifa groups often threaten and resort to violence.  Trump supporters have been violently attacked and or harassed on more than one occasion. And the Left has been supporting attacks upon and murder of police officers.   BLM has been rendered a "civil rights" movement by the far Left leadership of the DNC. And you have the violent brown shirt riots that erupted when rioters showed up at Trump campaign rallies in 2016.    So the seeds are being planted and they are being planted by the Left. 

And the difference is also that the opposition isn't really Trump's policies as it is Trump himself.  They can't really criticize his policies.   The problem is that Trump interrupted the socialist, Marxist utopian dreams of the leaders of the Left.   They really thought that they were going to rule the country for the foreseeable future.  Obama's policies could have led to civil war if he had another term, or if Hillary had gotten elected and carried on his legacy.  We are just one election away from losing our country if the Dems get back in power and fulfill their socialist dreams.

The Left has dialed everything up as high as they can.  If there is a civil war, they will be the ones responsible for starting it.
