That. Anyone can say anything, but it means nothing without action. If Hitler (not saying that Trump is Hitler, just giving an extreme example to show that there IS a line to this sort of thing) said he we was a devout Christian who read the Bible everyday and prayed for forgiveness daily, I would hope for your sake you wouldn't be so gullible as to take his word for that (people can lie). Again, Trump ain't no Hitler.I think he is a bad man but in a con man sort of way, not a genocidal manic sort of way. And again, good people support Trump. I think they are mistaken, but that doesn't make them bad. I live in the South. Nearly all my relatives are Trump supporters and I don't love them any less.

Maybe... as long as he can profit from it.

Really?  'Cause  the evidence would say otherwise.   He is taking a $1 salary as president and donating it to charity.   Hardly the actions of someone looking for a profit.  In fact, anyone looking for a profit would not have undergone the harassment, hatefulness and threats this president has been subjected to from YOUR side of the socio-political spectrum.

He has sacrificed a lot to be president and his brand is ruined.  When he gets out of office and no is no longer under shield of massive levels of security, it will open seasons on him.   He is pretty much destroyed in terms of the kind of wealth and connections he used to have.

The same goes for his family.  Once they are back to being private citizens, all of the wealthy connections and popularity they once had will be gone.  Their father's name will no longer be any good in the circles they used to run in.

Fair enough, he never claimed to be a prophet or claimed to speak for God, but I fear there are too many Christians that excuse or overlook the things like the lying, bigotry, pettiness, impulsiveness, misogyny, adultery, etc. because he is on their "side". Donald Trump has exhibited very little care for anyone but himself and the profits he is gathering.

Really, 'cause the liberals who, all of sudden, found a  moral compass when Trump was elected, could not seem to find that compass when Obama plain lied to us over 20 times on TV with things like "if you like your insurance plan, you can keep your insurance plan," or "if you like your doctor you can keep your doctor."

  • Obama enflamed racial tensions and promoted racism in this country.  Until recently we never heard of things like "white privilege" and other racist garbage coming from the Left.
  • As for pettiness, no one on the Left seemed to have a problem with pettiness when it came to the Administration's  exploitation of the race card if someone dared disagree in public on Obama's policies.
  • Obama supported transgenderism and actually supported the idea of boys being able to use girls' locker rooms in high schools if they "felt" they were really girls.
  • Obama meddled in Israel's elections
  • Obama associated with terrorists like "The Muslim Brotherhood" and betrayed America in the Iranian deal.
  • Obama was hostile to religious freedom

The Left doesn't really care about Trump's moral failings.   None of you really care about those things, because you didn't hold Obama accountable for his moral failings.   The problem is that you can't really whine about the economy or unemployment or the tax cuts.  You can't really complain Trump has accomplished in bring manufacturing back into the US and with that, Trillions of $$ back to our country.   The things that we actually want to see in a president, Trump is doing.

I found this:

1) He got conservative judge Neil Gorsuch on the Supreme Court.

2) The stock market is at an all-time high.

3) Consumer confidence is at an all-time high.

4) He created more than a million jobs by undoing Obama’s regulations.

5) Mortgage applications for new homes is  at a 7 year high.

6) Unemployment rate is at a 16 year low.

7) Signed the promoting women in entrepreneurship act.

8  Gutted 800 Obama era regulations thus freeing up companies to hire again and get the economy moving once again.

9) Ended the war on coal and caused a new mine for coal mining to open that will mine clean coal. He also put the miners back to work.

10) Weakened Dodd-Frank regulations.

11) Promotes buying and hiring American.

12) Investments from major businesses such as Foxconn, Ford ,Toyota, Intel amd others will build here now.

13) Reduced illegal immigration by over 70%.

14) Bids for the border wall are underway.

15) He’s fighting back against sanctuary cities.

16) Changed the rules of engagement against ISIS.

17) Drafted a plan to defeat ISIS.

18) Worked to reduce the cost of the F-35 fighter jets.

19) Imposed a five year lobbying plan.

20) Sanctioned Iran over its’ missile program.

21) Responded to Syria’s use of chemical weapons.

22) Reduced tax reform plan.

23) He’s renegotiating NAFTA.

24) He withdrew from the Trans Pacific Partnership thus keeping jobs here.

25) He pulled us out of the Paris Climate Accords thus saving us millions of dollars every year.

26) Created a task force to reduce crime.

27) The DOJ is targeting dangerous gangs like MS-13.

28) Signed independence and economic growth law.

29) Signed an executive order to protect police officers and target drug cartels.

30) Signed an executive order for religious freedom.

31) His administration is working on sending education back to the states.

32) He’s fixing the dept. of Veterans affairs so now vets can choose their own doctors and be covered. This also protects whistle blowers and allows VA to terminate bad employees..

33) Authorized construction of the Keystone and Dakota pipelines. The Dakota pipeline is up and running without harming the environment.

34) Created commissions on election fraud and opioid addiction.

35) Food stamp use is the lowest level in seven years.

36) Reduced the White House payroll saving taxpayers millions of dollars.

37) He’s donating his salary to various causes.

38) Signed 52 pieces of legislation.

39)  Cut 600 billion from UN peacekeeping mission.

40) Gas prices lowest in more than 12 years.

"You won’t hear any of this in the mainstream media. All they know is destroy, distract and damage. That shows that they don’t care about the people they claim to care about because if they did they would work with Trump and make the country better.

Trump accomplished all of this on his own without the help of congress who are useless at this point.  All the media cares about is how they can destroy him today. They have no solutions of their own. They are all deranged ideologues suffering from what is known as Trump derangement syndrome. No wonder the media’s and congress’ ratings are lower than Trump’ s. His may be low, but theirs is lower.

In the areas of economics and national security, Trump is in the midst of healing this country’s true woes. He’s facing nearly insurmountable opposition from every corner of Washington and the media. But he’s started something in motion that will ultimately prevail. He has turned the ship around. That’s moral victory. That’s making America great again. That’s all that really, truly matters."  https://www.conservativedailynews.com/2017/08/trumps-accomplishments-so-far-and-they-are-many/

It’s a year since Donald Trump was elected. We take a look at how his performance compares with Barack Obama’s at the same point in his presidency.

Approval ratings: bad news for Trump and a relative win for Obama

Gallup says the most recent polling (Oct 30 to Nov 5 2017) puts Trump’s approval rating at just 38%, compared to 51% for Obama in his first November in office.

The average rating for all presidents since 1938 at this stage of their tenure is 53%.

Number of federal investigations associated with the president: 5 for Trump versus 0 for Obama

There are currently five federal investigations underway associated with Trump, compared to none for Mr Obama at this point in his presidency. Here are the Trump probes:

1. Robert Mueller is investigating Russia’s involvement in the 2016 elections and possible collusion by the Trump campaign

2. The House intelligence committee is investigating allegations against former national security advisor Michael Flynn

3. The Senate intelligence committee is investigating Russia’s involvement in the 2016 elections and possible collusion by the Trump campaign

4. The House oversight committee is investigating the firing of FBI director James Comey

5. The Senate judiciary committee is investigating the White House and Michael Flynn’s departure

Bills passed: a narrow win for Obama

Generally, being able to get legislation through is a good indicator of a president’s ability to get stuff done.

Obama had managed to sign 89 bills into law between taking office in January 2009 and the first anniversary of his election (4 November). So far, Trump has signed 81 bills.

Executive orders: Trump has signed 33 per cent more executive orders than Obama in his first year

Trump has signed 52 executive orders – legal directives issued by the president rather than through Congress – since taking office, compared to Obama’s 39 orders by this point in his presidency.

That’s a bit awkward, given Mr Trump criticised Obama on at least six occasions for making executive orders. In January 2016, he said “we have a president that can’t get anything done so he just keeps signing executive orders all over the place”.

Staff retention: Trump unable to keep hold of senior White House officials

The Trump White House has seen a lot of high profile resignations and sackings in the president’s first year in office.

For example, Trump’s Chief of Staff – Reince Priebus – was the shortest-serving occupant of that post in history, clocking up just 189 days. That’s in contrast to 620 days for Obama’s first Chief of Staff.

Both presidents had a short-lived first Communications Director. Trump actually held onto his for slightly longer – 134 days compared to 92 days for Obama’s.

However, Mr Trump has already chewed through three people in this post, including Anthony Scaramucci who left after just 10 days – before he could officially be sworn in.

Obama’s first Press Secretary also outstripped Trump’s – lasting 753 days, rather than 182.

The economy: a mixed picture, but neither can take credit

0.1-Trump-v-Obama-economy.png0.1-Table-Trump-Obama-economy.png

Mr Trump appears to be doing better than Mr Obama on unemployment and inflation (the negative inflation the US saw in 2009 was actually a bad thing; this year’s modest inflation is preferable).

But Mr Obama was in a better place on GDP growth by the end of his first year in office – 3.5 per cent compared to Trump’s 3 per cent.

That said, all of these figures are “lagging indicators” – they reflect the economic decisions made six months or a year before. So Trump can’t really take credit for today’s relatively low rate of unemployment – nor can Obama take the blame for what appears to be his worse performance on inflation.

Update: a previous version of this article said Barack Obama passed 33 executive orders in his first year. In fact, it was 39.

Now for some truth.  Trump's approval ratings can't be honestly assessed because the Left's "disapproval" of Trump isn't based on policies, but on Trump himself.   So naturally the approval ratings will be skewed.   There is an attitude of "Hate Trump"  that exists no matter what he does, right or wrong.  They want Trump out of office no matter what.   So you really cannot go on approval ratings.

Furthermore, when Obama first entered office and continuing throughout his first year, he was treated like a "messiah" figure and no criticism of Obama, not even by late-night comedians, was allowed.   He was untouchable and any disagreement with any of Obama's policies was painted as "racism."

So these facts tend to make an honest approval rating impossible.

The problem here is that the scandal-rich Obama administration was so entirely corrupt right up to the very law enforcement officials who were supposed to be safeguards against corruption, that you really can't give an honest assessment of this.   These investigations are motivated by an attempt to frame Trump for the corruption of the Obama administrations and its top officials.

For over year, not ONE scintilla of evidence has surfaced that Trump has done anything wrong.  But the deep state is bound and determined to find a crime and then make Trump guilty of it at all costs.   Everyone and anyone associated with Trump seems to be under investigation.   There is a policy and campaign of personal destruction that is behind these "investigations"  that are correctly referred to by Trump as witch hunts.

That is not the fault of Trump.  Trump only signs what Congress passes into law.  Trump doesn't make law, so if bills don't get signed, it is because Congress is not doing its job.  And Congress has for a year or more squandered its leadership majority in order to spite Trump.

This is not really fair.  It isn't the amount of EO's that was the problem with Obama.  Obama used EO's to make law.  The purpose of an EO is to enforce existing law.  Obama used EO's to rule by decree in order to take what Congress would not give him.   He used EO's to violate the Constitution.   Trump has not done that.

That is really a meaningless statistic.  Administrations shift and adjust, lose and gain people.

Obama never got the economy up to 3%, never.  During his administration he barely got 2% which is pretty dismal.   Unemployment was through the roof and more people were added to the food stamp rolls. Obama had the economy in a death spiral and declared that the businsses that left the US would never come back and tried to convince everyone that such was the "new normal."   President Trump has revived the economy and reversed the destructive policies of Obama.

I see a change in President Trump in the last several weeks or more.    People grow spiritually at different rates of speed and we need to allow time for that.   I am glad he has a Christian as his VP and apparently some other Christians on his staff.... VP Mike Pence is probably giving the President some spiritual insights when possible.  Also, it's good to hear the President is getting some spiritual counsel from some pastors...this will also help him grow as a Christian.

I will uphold him not only because he is our President, but I think we should encourage others in the faith.   Just imagine if people would doubt our faith and attack us....instead of trying to help us to grow spiritually.
