(Worthy News) - The California Supreme Court moved Wednesday to block a measure that would divide the state into three parts.

The court issued a brief order, stating it chose to remove the measure -- known as Proposition 9 -- from the November ballot after "significant questions" were raised about the validity of the proposition and the potential harm in allowing it to remain outweighed the risk of delaying it to a future election.

During the closed session on Wednesday, the court also agreed to eventually issue a ruling on the measure's constitutionality. [ Source:UPI (Read More...) ]

This is wonderful news.  A judge in California actually upholding the law and constitution.

So i guess now they might push to succeed.  which is also against the grain.  But if you think about it it would be real bad for California to break away from the USA because then they would not have rights to all that water the get in imperial valley.  It would get shut off unless we could negotiate a deal, and knowing Trump the deal will be in favor of the USA.  Also, dont they get a lot of electricity from hoover dam?  I am sure cost would go up for that also.

I guess for now they will just have to grin and bear it, much like most of America did under Obama.

And even if they were able to divide into three states, Texas has the right to divide into five...

its not a bill to break away from the US but rather form 3 seperate states, which I think would be a good thing, as it would make a far more even balance of power between the GOP and DNC when it comes to electoral votes.

At the end of the day, the only thing the court has a right to issue a ruling on is constitutionality.

A bunch said they would  leave  if Trump were elected.  I am glad to see the radicals leave the States, but am sorry they chose to contaminate Australia.  Venezuela, Laos or N. Korea. might have politic closer to their liking..

Except there would in time be 4 extra liberal Senators.

Not necessarily...not all of California is liberal. There are a lot of conservatives in California, especially the northern part.

Eastern WA has wanted to break away from the leftist machine in Seattle for a long time.  The only reason they want Eastern WA in the state is that don't want to lose our wine and hops.  They have considered us the deplorables for decades, and we find them to be an embarrassment as well.
