Hello. Love is a strange thing, isn't it?. I just want to create an avenue where we can all discuss our craziest, funniest moments with our crushes. How we met them and whatever. Have fun and God Bless.

I had crushes on a couple of girls in high school. I snapped out of it pretty quickly, though. That being said, Barbara Eden, Teri Garr and Grace Lee Whitney (both from the original star trek series) were harder to get over. But I was also only in Jr High at the time.;)

She worked in a Christian bookstore (Maranatha Village) a block down from Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa. She was a newbie Christian and into the positive confession movement and signs and wonders (Eagles Nest) which I wasn't aware of her involvement at the time. The first time I came into the store (I was a truck driver) I asked for a certain book, she helped order it. The 2nd time I came back we got into a bit of a tiff over her weirded out doctrine. I walked away thinking 'what a hopeless case'.

In six months she had a change, called me and from there our dates consisted of witnessing up on Hollywood Blvd and L.A. skid row.

(See all that wasn't as funny).

Aww so cute. Send my love to Grandma??

I had a crush on a curly headed brunet, probably my first, we were both about 15-16 yr old. She was a cousin of a friend, and after getting to know her a little, one evening I was about to ask her if she would like a ride on my Chushman Eagle motor scooter. That evening she came riding up in a pink 57 ford Crown Victoria with her new boy friend,  an older friend of our group. Rich kid. Man did I sing the blues, Ray Charles "Born to Lose" .............default_cool2.gif.e9610dfab483885fbc15ef657f2740ad.gif         (I got a pair just like Ray)

I pretty much outgrew chrushes by the time I was 10 I think, at least for the most part. Probably had a few minor relapses in my teens. I discovered early, that things like enfatuation, or feelings based on unimportant apects of a person, had little value, compared with actual love. Love has it's basis, in the interest in what is best for the other person, not in self gratification. It was not until I was almost 30 (when I became a Christian) that I discovered the difference.

I know I am a stick in the mud, so I will just move along!
