All things good?

Question

Amongst all the chaos in our lives. Media coverage, social networks, we are trampled over by negative. What are the good things in life? What is good? And what is good focusing our attention on? Also how to separate bad beginnings from blessed endings when pondering a good life.

When i see all the bad things going on around me in the world i try to not become overwhelmed.  If thats all you look at and think on it will weary you.  I keep from this by remembering Promises from God and words that Jesus spoke.  When I think about that, its uplifting to see all the negative things happening because everything Jesus said would happen is happening which means His return is soon.  Which means soon this madness will be over.  And then its glory glory hallelujah time.

He said Never would He leave us, Never would He forsake us.  He said He is with us, even to the end of the age.

2 cor 4:18 NIV So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

Count your blessings one by one.

Hi, and welcome.

Best first effort? Turnoff tv, turnoff all that calls to you to participate in the mundane things of people seeking attention for themselves like Facebook, twitter, snapchat, text messages on phones, and e-mail.

Set a specific place for prayer, thinking and reading of the Bible. Set a specific time for  prayer, thinking, and reading the Bible. start an immediate diary  log your prayers, your thought,s and note what you read of your Bible. Memorize a passage from your Bible reading.

Almost all of the chaos will be gone.

Genesis 2: 16The LORD God commanded the man, saying, "From any tree of the garden you may eat freely; 17but from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat from it you will surely die."
There is a lot I do not understand about this tree of knowledge. Why would God plant a tree with fruit that: "was a delight to the eyes".  Then forbid them to eat the fruit from this tree?
Genesis 3 6"When the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was desirable to make one wise, she took from its fruit and ate; and she gave also to her husband with her, and he ate"
Genesis 1:31  31"God saw all that He had made, and behold, it was very good."
IF everything God made was good then where did the evil come from?  Why did God plant this tree if it was not good for them? If day means day then why did they not die the day they ate the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil?
Also I wonder about Ezekiel when he talks about the Cedar trees of Lebanon.
Ezekiel 31 "9'I made it beautiful with the multitude of its branches, And all the trees of Eden, which were in the garden of God, were jealous of it.
If all of the tree of Eden were Jealous of the cedar in Lebanon, does that mean Lebanon was better than Eden back in it's days of purity?  Also how can a tree be "Jealous", do they have feeling?  Could a tree talk like a snake could talk back in the days of Eden?

DAILY BIBLE VERSE AND DEVOTION – PSALM 4:8
In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, LORD, make me dwell in safety. – Psalm 4:8 New International Version (NIV)
Now, many of us may lie down and sleep thinking of all the circumstances and problems in our lives and whether the following day is going to be different and solutions to them are going to be brought. There might be countless times where you’ve asked yourself why you’re surrounded by a large number of circumstances or whether the huge adversity you’re going through will end at any time. What’s more, you feel like you cannot find a way out of it.
The other day, I was at university with some mates; classes had already finished and we’d decided to have a get-together, afterwards. So we sat down on the grassy ground and a guy suggested that we could sing something from our church. And we did so and an another guy joined us by playing the guitar. That precise moment let me remember memories of my childhood. One summer morning, at the age of 13, I got up feeling that that day was going to differ from the others. Mom and dad had started arguing again and I was in the middle of the shouting among them. One week had gone by and they had decided to get divorced.
That was, for me, one of the most horrible and hard moments, and I’d never thought that I was going to be one of the children in the list of “Divorced Parents”. Honestly, I wasn’t able to assimilate what was going on at that very moment. The promises of God, we all regularly repeat like “ God’s in control”, “Trust in him”, “He’s going to get this problem fixed” among others seemed to be gone.
All of a sudden, the Holy Spirit spoke to me and let me understand that it was possible to get out of the current troubles in our lives. God managed to do so and this is demonstrated on the cross.
Have you ever imagined whether it could’ve been extremely hard for God to accept that his one and only son was going to be sacrificed? God is a father to all of us, and a father cares about his sons and daughters; he even cries for them.
Would you dare to let your son or daughter be sacrificed? If you thought of it, I think your answer would be, “No”. When God says he’s on your side and he encourages you to keep going is because he went through the hugest adversity ever, the death of his son who later rose again.
So, I’m here to encourage you and to say that God loves you, and he’s carrying you through the circumstances so that you don’t get hurt. Do not give up. Remember that circumstances are a excuse for God to bless your life in all aspects. Stay Still!

The creator gave us the tree of life in the beginning, what choices did we have then, and how do they compare to the choices between good and evil now?

I love songs that speak of our identity in Christ... whose we are .... and especially, the character of God ... I love songs that I can sing from my heart, to Him ... this is one of my favorites.
