Now, what's all this talk about abolishing ice? I thought liberals wanted to stop global warming, I mean climate change (weather). And how would they accomplish that? Build big bonfires at the poles? I'm sure the Polish people would not like that nor the people living in Green Land. I thought liberals like the green agenda. It's all silliness this talk about abolishing ice. Sometimes I like to pour my adult beverage or Coke-Cola over ice. What am I to do if they abolish ice? No ice for my cooler. The thought is too horrible to contemplate!
Guest shiloh357
That's a funny play on words. If they found out that Trump likes ice in his soda they would seek to ban ice or even water. But abolishing ICE is one of the dumbest things that the Democrats have suggested.

Most liberals don't even know what ICE does!

One of the agencies in the new Department of Homeland Security was the Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, now known as U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, or ICE" - From the ICE website at https://www.ice.gov/history Well might want to consider the when why what and how before going to the mat for ICE or against ICE. Evidently this country existed for some 224 years or so without ICE. Why was it first created do the circumstances of that crisis still exist, or is ICE now seeking new missions to justify it's existence? I think I might want to know before I carry a sign on a stick either way.

I was working at an American Defense Contractor at the time. I saw the second plane hit in real time via CNN who was on the spot. Never waste a good crisis, perceived or real. I don't recall any agency of the government once established, that has been abolished when it usefulness has been rendered. Just a name change and different responsibilities. How long will it be before everyone is a federal employee? Now on to the seriousness of abolishing ICE. There solution is right before their very own eyes. Chemical ICE (A.K.A. dry ice or CO2). No drip, no fuss no muss... It sublimate's from a solid to a gas and bypasses the H2O foot print. It can not be discriminated against by those full of hot gas. Will not pollute the environment as there is more CO2 than oxygen. And best of all... Our landfills can hold an unlimited amount of dry ice. What's not to like?

We'd have trees, flowers, and bushes everywhere producing oxygen. Haven't we had enough Bushes and Jennifer Flowers?

Well I guess a question then is has ICE stopped airplanes from running into tall buildings? Is it possible to incorporate their tasks into the agencies that pre- existed ICE and Homeland Security? If not do we still need the agencies that did pre exist ICe or can we eliminate all or some of their authority/staff/ and administration?

Is there a number of managers needed for xx number of employees? Where I work, that number is about 15. When you go above that, managers are unable to manage efficiently and effectively. When you go below that number, you get managers who over-manage not letting employees develop. I don't know what the ratio in government is. Personally, I'd like the BATFE absorbed into the FBI. I'd like to see the DoE combined with the Department of the Interior. Homeland Security should really be a part of the FBI. I'd like to see that FBI as a Cabinet Level position. The Department of Education could be gutted or combined with HUD. This is all off the cuff.
Guest
The Democratic Party has gone the way of Bernie Sanders, Socialist. Anyone deny that? He would have won the Democratic nomination if not for the criminal Hillary and the dishonest DNC.
