A woman usually changes her last name when she marries and that is not dishonor even though it is the family name. Many actors change their names. John Wayne was Marion Robert Morrison, to Marion Mitchel Morrison, to John Wayne. So unless your purpose is to remove yourself from your family, I can't see how it would dishonor them. Most of the times, people do this for some good reasons! For example... if, they were abused by their parents during childhood... etc! This sad reality is sickening me... enough said!
