I think about that when Bridegroom comes to get us His Bride, He will bear the wounds that He bore to save us on the cross:

Eight days later the disciples were together again, and this time Thomas was with them. The doors were locked; but suddenly, as before, Jesus was standing among them. “Peace be with you,” he said.27 Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here, and look at my hands. Put your hand into the wound in my side. Don’t be faithless any longer. Believe!” (John 20:26-27)

Apocalypse means “Unveiling”. What do you unveil? A Bride, the Bride of Christ (Revelation 19:6-9).

The Winepress of God’s Wrath (Revelation 19:11-16) will happen, but it is to avenge the Bride of Christ and to establish the Millenial Reign and then the New Jerusalem. But what is this all for? It is fo God’s Justice sure, but also for the Bride of Christ, and so that the Bridegroom May be with Her forever (Revelation 21:1-43).

The Lord's return for his Church is prophetic as in the word . The book of Revelation is riveting and full of drama.  The theme of Christ return and satan demise is outlined clearly.  Even so, chapter 17 and 18 are full of suspense as if the right key must be found to unlock what seems to be coded sentences.  The human mind wants to decipher this drama as we have the words written for us and until that day, the search goes on. It is the human condition.

The point is taken though, to "Fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith." Heb 12:2

Indeed, we must fix our eyes on Christ our Bridegroom. We may study eschatology and become scholars, but we must never waver from our pure and simple devotion to Christ (2 Corinthians 11:2) nor lose our fist love (Revelation 2:4-5).

I know what you are saying but it just doesn't 't fit somehow. Most understand it as the final destruction of the earth. It is very difficult to say apocalypse is unveiling the bride.

Reading through this thread , can't help but think of Ephesians 5:28-33

"So husbands ought to love their own wives as their own bodies; he who loves his wife loves himself. For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as the Lord does the church. For we are members of His body, of His flesh and of His bones. “For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.”  This is a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ and the church.  Nevertheless let each one of you in particular so love his own wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband."

Glory to God!

"...For, as it is written, “The two will become one flesh.” But he who is joined to the Lord becomes one Spirit with Him." 1 Corinthians 6:16,17

Then I heard something like the shout of a vast multitude, and like the boom of many pounding waves, and like the roar of mighty peals of thunder, saying,

“Hallelujah! For the Lord our God, the Almighty, [the Omnipotent, the Ruler of all] reigns. Let us rejoice and shout for joy! Let us give Him glory and honor, for the marriage of the Lamb has come [at last] and His bride (the redeemed) has prepared herself.” She has been permitted to dress in fine linen, dazzling white and clean—for the fine linen signifies the righteous acts of the saints [the ethical conduct, personal integrity, moral courage, and godly character of believers].

Then the angel said to me, “Write, ‘[a]Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the [b]Lamb.’” And he said to me [further], “These are the true andexact words of God.” (Revelation 19:6-9).

I have chosen not to put this in the Eschatology section, because I beleive it is good for general discussion.

Many believers have "Apocalyptic Blues." Between all the Pre-Millienial, Amillienial, Post Millienal, Pre-Trib, Mid-Trib, Post-Trib, Partial Trib and etc; many are overwhelemed. Well this thread isnt' about that. It is about the fact that Apocalypse in the Greek means "Unvieling." Unvieling of the Bride of Christ! (Revelation 19:1-11). Our main problem in the end times discussions is we focus on the details of how it will play out, this has merit, we need to know the times and signs, but we must always fix our eyes on Jesus (Hebrewes 12:2). The truth is for us Christians, the Apocalypse is the Wedding Supper, and Christ is coming to collect us His bride (Matthew 24:39-5, 1 Thessalonains 4:16-17) to be with Him forever (Revelation 21:1-53). The focus shoudl be Christ and Him coming, our Bridegroom and God coming to get us His bride! It is the best romantic story ever, it beats Nicholas Sparks! For the sparks of Jesus' fire eyes is His passion and love for you; He burns to be with us and love us with same ferocity He had on the cross!

It's time to get excited! To pray Jesus come quickly, "Thy Kingdom Come," and "The Bride says come! Yes, Come Lord Jesus." (Revelation 22:1-20).

Let us fix our eyes on our coming Bridegroom, our King of Kings, and Everlastin Father. Amen,.

I' ve been reading a couple of books on this subject recently.

They both point out that the true Church of all believers in the last days will become holier, despite the external and internal attacks, and part of the evidence that "the Bride has made Herself ready" will be the fulfillment of Revelation 22:17 "the Spirit and the Bride say come"

An unprecedented desire for the Return of Jesus, manifested in the prayer "thy Kingdom come, come Lord Jesus", is one of the main traits that according to these books that draws from the Scriptures will show the maturity of the Bride and also fulfill Luke 18:1-8

This seems to be happening and this thread that you opened is an example! :D
