Ecclesiastes 1:9 (KJV) The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.

The way I see it, this has occurred time and time again throughout all of history and throughout the globe. The events leading up to it and the outcomes are always predictable. A house (nation or family) divided against itself can not stand. Looking at the US, y'all think any of this is applicable to US also? 

Looking at it from a biblical perspective in these last days. I see an explosion of 'kingdom against kingdom, nation against nation'.

Matthew 24:7 (KJV) For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. 

The word "nation" is translated from the Greek word "Ethnos", which we derive our modern word of 'ethnic'. 

Of all the biblical prophesies dealing with the days which we are living (end-times), I can't think of even one we don't see playing out or developing to fruition.

Not at all. What I was communicating is that the scope of injustice is greater than even the long existing horror at South Africa and the entire continent. It is fought everywhere using all sorts of weaponry. Zoning was a reference to the history of Los Angeles California and the LA county battles over water and farming. Sine th opening post was from an LA resident of long history. California has "stolen" water for  many decades all the while moving agriculture further and further out of the more fertile lands.

 The US and Mexico battle over the Colorado and Rio Grande. Brazil has a long history of land rights battles that are in it's highest court over the past few years the government trying to clear titles for squatters and arrange compensation for those that had their land robbed from them, all in terms of sacks of  soy, which fluctuates with the crop. The point is: All over the world man works the interests of one man over another, instead of sharing one with another. Finally the oppressed fight and they are not generally very kind if they win their fight, anymore then their oppressors are if they beat them back.

Repentance of one's own sin must come before the sins of nations will ever lessen.  Can't just ask for someone to come and make it better - it must be one by one by one until our Lord returns. Praise God for the restrainer less it be total chaos at all times at all places on earth.

There have been numerous gatherings of prayer meetings around the country as churches are coming together in each city to prayer for our nation.

Staring tomorrow in the town I’m in, there will be 24/7 prayer for the nation. Each day hosted by a different church.

It's good to hear from someone who is living in South Africa.  Please keep us updated.   The 24/7 prayer in your town by churches shows how dangerous this situation is.

I did watch a video on YouTube by Dateline and it tried to show both sides of the issue.

There was 24/7 prayer meeting in Herrnhutt, Saxony-Germany for 100 years and what happen was the First Great Awakening. I hope and pray it does not take a century for South Africa.

Might you have time to try to describe "nation"? 

Just what is it the churches are praying for? Is it for many to come  to know Jesus as Lord, God, and personal savior? For work and free travel opportunity for all people in the land? For peaceful access to education?  

Just what is the picture of the churches that are banding to gather in one purpose at this prayer time?  Are they separate by denominations, are they separate by trades, by race; or might they be all inclusive of the people of the country?
