I need to be saved - Will someone please pray for me?

Hi.

I need to be saved. Will someone please pray for me? I am currently experiencing Hell, no other word for it. I am under attack from the demon of pornography. I swear a lot and I am always angry and in that anger, I say terrible things I go on to deeply regret. I feel my life slipping away from me. I feel desperate and alone and I need to be free so I can live and be the man God put me on this Earth to be, not the person I am currently. Thanks.

Father,

I have been living a fantasy. I hardly feel the prick of conscience anymore. I have become numb and dumbed down in my humanity. I repent of this addiction to pornography. It alienates me from those I love and it alienates me from You, my God. It’s a lie, a trick of the devil. I receive the power of your blood that not only forgives me but cleanses me.

Please do forgive me. Please cleanse me. Drive out my sin. And help me to walk in the light, to experience the blessing of my sexuality under the safeguard of your heavenly standard.

Give me encouragement and accountability. Set me free from my chains. I receive Your Holy Spirit’s power to control my base impulses and to become the human being you have made me to be, ruling over myself and this world with you.

Salvation comes only by believing that Jesus paid the penalty you deserve for your sins, that He is the son of God, and by giving your life in return to follow Him and obey His commands. 

But don't think of getting saved as this thing that suddenly takes over. Prepare your heart for the gospel of Jesus Christ by beginning to turn away from evil (porn, swearing, anger, saying terrible things)  and doing good (kindness, love, peace, respecting others, helping those in need). To be clear, this in itself does not save you. Only Jesus' work on the cross does that. But it will prepare your heart to respond to the good news of Jesus Christ.  Don't wait passively. 

I will pray now that God regenerates you so that you have a new desire to please Him, that you believe in Christ in a way that saves you from the hell you're experiencing, and gives you Eternal Life.

Hello LostWithoutHim. Welcome to Worthy. Christ was born into the flesh as a man, like every other human. He lived a sinless life on this planet and therefore was not subject to the wages of sin all the rest of us are, which is eternal death with no knowledge of God, similar to what you are feeling now, but significantly worse. You are recognizing your own sins and how you now serve Satan and evil and you are realizing the destiny you are creating for yourself, that eternal death without God, without anything good and full only of evil. When Christ was crucified, through His shed blood on the cross, He was made sin. He took on, and continues to take on the sins of everyone who believes in Him. If you ask Jesus to take on your sins and believe He will, you become sinless. He now becomes subject to the wages of your sins which is death, yet He did what none of us can, and defeated death for us through His resurrection, which grants all who believe, eternal life instead of eternal death. You will now have eternity in the presence of God the father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. 

You need to act on this if you desire salvation LWH. You need to confess your sins to Jesus and ask Him to take on your sins. You absolutely have to be totally sincere and totally repentant in this. Next, you need to be Baptized in water and the Holy Spirit at a church grounded in the Bible. Then it is a matter of learning Scripture and living God's Word. 

Praying you understand this and are motivated to do the above and join the Body of Christ!

Throw yourself on the Lord's mercy....call on Him from your heart, confessing all of the evil and asking the Lord to forgive you and to come into your heart/life.    The next time the temptations come start to pray immediately for the Lord's help and resist the devil and he will flee from you.  James 4:7-8.    Then seek to do some other activity...go for a walk, etc.  You can also prayer as you walk.

Thank you everyone. I believe fervently in Him, have asked Him to come into my life. I believe He came to Earth and died on the Cross for all of our sins and I have repented of mine before Him.

My only problem now is in finding a true Bible believing church as I am in the UK and the Church of England here no longer wishes to address God as a 'He' because it is apparently offensive and not inclusive in terms of language. Outside of the CofE, very few churches are what I would term godly, they seem to just be extensions of the world I am wishing to extinguish from my heart. I need purity. I need cleansing and I need strong scriptural believers around me hence why I signed up here at Worthy forums.

Without a strong Church, the best thing is to stick close to God thru Scripture and prayer. 

Apostasy is rampant, God's Word is the antidote.
