(Worthy News) - With Bashar Assad and his Russian allies on the verge of victory in Syria’s civil war, the Trump administration is facing new pressure to respond forcefully and prevent a bloodbath of historic proportions — but analysts say the U.S. has virtually no good options, as seven years of muddy American policy toward Syria has left Moscow holding all the cards.

Influential lawmakers in Washington and key partners around the world in recent days have pleaded with the White House to intervene more directly in Syria and stop a looming humanitarian disaster, arguing that the human toll and the geopolitical consequences of inaction will be severe.

Mr. Assad’s forces, with crucial support from Russia and Iran, are days away from launching a brutal assault against Idlib, the last major rebel stronghold in Syria. Analysts say a victory in Idlib all but ensures Mr. Assad will prevail in the conflict, which has raged since 2011 and claimed hundreds of thousands of lives. we created this mess over there ourselves and there have been hundreds of thousands of people die....    every time we interfere it has made things worse when it's over.....    we should just step back and let the Russians fix what we screwed up in Syria...   Leave Syria to someone who knows how to deal with the problems there...

Those people who are pushing the president to get involved are the same people who have been pushing war with Russia since before the 2016 election.....   and they are the same people who created the problem by sending our people to Ukraine and over throwing their government and creating the huge mess between them and Russia.

And it all started when Putin paid off all their debt to the central banks and threatened to nationalize their banking system.....   somewhat like what our own constitution says ours should be.

I might remind everyone that Putin has told us in the past that Crimea and the Navel port in Syria is not something he is willing to give up at any cost.....   even to nuclear war.    so I would suggest to the POTUS that he handle this very carefully since we have pretty much pushed Putin into a serious corner concerning their economy....
