Thats not talking about baptism...not in the slightest. At least not the baptism that Jesus commanded. Now, my question here is, do you honestly want to know what to do in this situation, or are you just using the situation to push an agenda? I have no problem debating baptism with you, but not under false pretenses. If you want to debate what biblical baptism is, then state so and we will debate. I would consider that Jesus was baptized for her, as referenced in Mathew 3:13-17 Specifically verse 15... "Jesus replied, “Let it be so now; it is proper for us to do this to fulfill all righteousness." That baptism is the immersion of one into The Body Of Christ—- that is the baptism that counts for salvation .Water baptism is a picture of that essential.Made sense to me. (Anytime we are burdened or troubled about something we should bring it to the Lord....sometimes He is even placing the burden on a person for His purposes because He wants prayers to be prayed regarding that particular issue.) I believe it's possible He could lead a person by faith to be baptized by proxy, like some were even baptized for the dead by proxy. But it should be led by the Lord and done by faith.
