Not a Kitten...Baby Lynx Rescued by Man

Recommended Posts

I would so love to raise a baby linx!  My paternal grandmother had an ocelot as a pet.  I'm not sure how she acquired it, though.

We knew someone who worked for fish and wildlife who had purchased a lynx, a bobcat and at cougar that were all bread in captivity.  He used them for educational purposes.  He kept them, as well as a herd of emu, at his little farm.  He also put a flag by each Killdeer egg in his driveway in an effort to preserve it.  But if called he would destroy a den of rattlesnakes.

Big cats can be very dangerous even when raised in captivity.  They are a wild animal.  Most cannot be trusted around children.
