I would like the opinion of a Hebrew scholar on how the Hebrews would have read a these of old testament scriptures.

We all know that there is power in our words and life and death is in the tongue, but this important piece of information isnt really given until we get to the verses in Proverbs and a few in Psalms and only alluded to in the story about Jacob and Esau and Isaac's blessing.

Why did God leave such an important truth so late to inform us?

I suspect that he may have shown Adam this truth in Genesis 2;19.  After all, We see Him telling Adam to subdue all the earth but not telling him how. In Genesis 2;19,  would an ancient Hebrew have read the word call/called (concordance number H7121) as declared and the word name/named (H8034) as mark of individuality or character?  Which would mean that Adam was shown the power of his own words as he declared the nature, character, and attributes of all the creatures.

What are your thoughts on this?

Thanks
