Revelation 13:14 People will be deceived into thinking that the man of sin is God because of the signs he performs. Scripture teaches the exact opposite of what you claim. The question is whether or not they will come to their senses and repent. The plagues will convict them of their sin of idolatry. How many choose to repent is yet to be seen. The paragraph before this tells us that people who's name is written in the book of life will not worship the beast..... Jesus also tells us that no one can snatch us from the Father's hand and if the scripture that you quote was referring to born again people then it would be snatching us from the hand of the Father...… So I have to disagree with you in that a born again person can be deceived into taking the mark or worshiping the beast.... 2

The answer from the bible/ is clear, they will not repent. Revelation Chapter 16 9And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory. 11And blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and repented not of their deeds. 21And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great. 1

I think our differences stem from how we understand "the elect" and how we view eternal security (OSAS).

I agree that there will come a point during the plagues when people refuse to repent. That much is clear. But its not until late in the progression of the plagues. Have you ever wondered why it mentions that at some point people don't repent? Why are we told of the status of people's repentance if its already a foregone conclusion that they can't repent because their fate is sealed? Why even mention repentance at all during the plagues unless that was a reason for the plagues?

This closely resembles another thought I have? There's no disputing many celebrities, singers and actors have openly admitted they have sold their own souls to Satan to make it big time in the industry and personal fame and wealth. The Bible states there's only one unpardonable sin. Some claim that sin is blaspheming the Holy Spirit via rejecting Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. Do you think once a person willingly sells his or her own soul for gain to Satan, he or she can repent and ask forgiveness?

No. They will not be repenting. They havent the capacity to think properly any longer. They were turned over to their delusion to BELIEVE IT MORE by God. Romans 1: 28since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done.

Do you think once a person willingly sells his or her own soul for gain to Satan, he or she can repent and ask forgiveness? Hi Dennis According to Jesus' own words, the only unforgivable sin is blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. That specific sin is a condition of the heart, not a one-time act. It's a condition that results from repeatedly rejecting the Holy Spirit's conviction of sin. Conviction of sin is what leads a person to repentance. The unforgivable sin is a repeated hardening of the heart against the conviction of the Holy Spirit that occurs over time. Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. That's why its referred to as blasphemy. To answer your question, a person might make a decision to serve Satan for personal gain but they are not bound to continue in that decision. Whether they will repent or continue in that sin depends on their response to the Holy Spirit's conviction. I believe that there comes a point when the Holy Spirit quits striving with a person to repent but that point is only known to God. Worshiping the image is idolatry. Receiving and utilizing the mark is an aspect of the image. The plagues are judgments against those who engage in that sin of idolatry. If a person yields to the conviction of those judgments and repents, they will be forgiven. The idea of committing one singular sin which seals a person's fate in unscriptural. What seals a person's fate is persistent rejection of the conviction of the Holy Spirit. If someone repeatedly hardens their heart, they will never repent. If someone never repents, they are eternally lost.

I explained my question with examples in a little more details. See what you think after reading it?

I understand that the false miracles will cause people to think he really is God. But the verse you quoted seems to say they are deceived into making an image. It does not say they are deceived into taking the mark, or deceived about the message from the angel. So you are saying that they HEAR an Angel, in their own language, make this announcement - but they don't understand it? 9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, 10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: Anyway, I HOPE you are right here.
