(Worthy News) - British companies are planning to microchip some of their staff in order to boost security and stop them accessing sensitive areas.

Biohax, a Swedish company that provides human chip implants, told the Telegraph it was in talks with a number of UK legal and financial firms to implant staff with the devices.

One prospective client, which cannot be named, is a major financial services firm with “hundreds of thousands of employees.” [ Source: UK Telegraph (Read More...) ]

I really don't think that is a good idea.  Those chips have been known to cause cancer in some animals.

What is 5g?

It is a ultra high frequency cell phone connection that will handle about a thousand times more data than 4g even with LTE...

I don't think we can really know...    It basically will speed wifi up to a very high speed, but RFID chips have a very short range to communicate with anything.   Right now the chips are nothing more than a simple way to store information....   the implants that everyone seems to be worried about only store about a hundred bits of information....    enough for a unique identification of an individual.    It's basically just a credit card that fits just under your skin.   So 5g really won't make any more difference than it will with your credit cards.....    But phone's are a different story.

But, as fast as technology is growing I don't think we really know how it will affect everything.....    when your phone can communicate with your chip, who knows what will be available....       Look for direct communication from our brains to our phones and we're basically in trouble.

Thanks Other One. That was very interesting.

I was telling my husband just the other day how frightening it is that we can no longer make an anonymous phone call. The potential for this could go way beyond what we can imagine.

if you use voice over IP and use a virtual network connection you might be able to do anonymous calls.....      back when I was working and dealing with network stuff, I had a little program that would let me use your Ip address and your MAC address to send things.....    could make connections that you would get the blame for....   so don't trust much of anything you see or hear on the internet concerning the origin it comes from...  you can hide from the general public.....    but not the NSA...
